The high quality paint is capable of killing gram positive bacteria, gram negative bacteria at a rate of greater than 3 logs within 2 hours of application of bacteria to a painted surface. The high quality paint is also capable of inactivating viruses.

The coating provided by the high quality paint may be capable of killing gram positive bacteria, gram negative bacteria at a rate of greater than 3 logs within 2 hours of application of bacteria to a painted surface. The coating provided by the high quality of paint may be capable of continuing to kill gram positive bacteria, gram negative bacteria at a rate of greater than 1 log within 2 hours even after repeated contamination of the surface. The coating provided by the high quality paint may be capable of delivering residual killing of gram positive bacteria, gram negative bacteria for up to 48 months. The coating provided by the high quality paint may also be capable of inactivating viruses.
