An example medical device may include an expandable access sheath having a proximal end region and a distal end region. The expandable access sheath may be designed to shift between a first configuration and an expanded configuration. The expandable access sheath may include a tubular body having one or more axial support members disposed along the tubular body. The medical device may include an expansion member designed to shift the expandable access sheath between the first configuration and the expanded configuration.

A system for monitoring and/or managing a patient suffering from a brain condition may include a controller obtaining and/or storing data related to one or more monitored patient parameters contributing to the brain condition of the patient and displaying values of the one or more monitored patient parameters in trend lines over time on a user interface. The displayed trend lines may represent values of ventricular CSF volume, values of IVH volume, total ventricular volume in the brain, and/or values of other suitable parameters. The data related to the one or more monitored patient parameters may include images of the patient's brain and/or data derived from images of the patient's brain and/or suitable patient data.

Systems and methods for managing, monitoring, and treating patient conditions

Medical devices for accessing the central nervous system, as well as making and using medical devices, are disclosed. An example medical device may include an expandable access port. The expandable access port may include a housing having a plurality of tines coupled thereto. A thrust washer may be disposed along the housing. An actuation member may be coupled to the housing. The actuation member may be designed to shift the plurality of tines between a first configuration and an expanded configuration.
