A pipe and fitting coupling system includes a first pipe, a second pipe, and a joint. A receiving end of the second pipe includes a first flange, a second flange, a groove, and a sealant. The second flange extends further than the first flange. The groove is disposed at the pipe diameter and between the first flange and the second flange. The first flange has an inwardly angled face to meet the groove and the second flange has an outwardly angled face to meet the groove. The sealant is disposed in the groove to seal the plain end of the first pipe in the receiving end. The joint is formed by the cooperative alignment of the plain end being inserted into the receiving end and being sealed by the sealant.

An ion trap such as an ion cyclotron resonance analyzer cell (trap) is described wherein the ion trap comprises a plurality of electrodes and has at least one integrated ion detector, preferably a position-sensitive and/or time-sensitive ion detector, wherein at least part of said ion detector is configured as an electrode of said ion trap. A tube support bracket that comprises an aluminum-coated steel support bracket formed having a circular tube-receiving aperture and an annular, castellated collar abutting the aperture. The aperture and collar are sized for receiving therethrough in close-fitting relationship an aluminum alloy heat exchanger tube. The collar, formed by a draw-punching process, has a plurality of spaced-apart, axial tabs sized for swaging against in hoop stress and bite the received tube. An inner surface of each of the collar tabs being has at least one axial groove therein, the groove being configured for receiving exterior regions of the received tube when the collar is swaged tightly against the tube to thereby lock the tube in the collar and thus in the support bracket. A corresponding method for making a tube support is disclosed.

The present invention relates to a method and system for transformation of an electronic document through learning transformation rules during training from the original electronic document using visual user feedback and applying the learned transformation rules to either the original electronic document or a second electronic document having a similar structure as the original document or all future instances of the original electronic document. Apparatus and methods for applying flexible straps around objects include a feed and tension unit a feed drive wheel and a feed pinch wheel, a primary tension drive wheel and a primary tension pinch wheel, and a secondary tension drive wheel and a secondary tension pinch wheel, wherein at least one of the pinch wheels is controllably biased against the respective drive wheel by a solenoid that is controlled in two stages: a first stage that provides a full feed or tensioning force and a second stage that provides a reduced feed or tensioning force by altering the pulse width modulation of the solenoid. In another embodiment, the three sets of wheels of the feed and tension unit are configured to provide a simplified &ldquo;V-shaped&rdquo; strap path that reduces bending of the strap, thereby reducing friction and consequent feeding difficulties. The present invention provides novel apparatus for punching or drilling of a plurality of elongate, slanting bores or holes in a substantially solid slab made of a relatively rigid, penetrable material such as plastic. The apparatus comprises a punching or drilling chamber having a substantially planar top wall. A series of spikes angle downwardly and at an angle from the top wall. A feed end allows slabs of material to be fed into the punching chamber onto a planar support bed, where the slab is secured from further movement relative to the support bed. The support bed is movable in reciprocating motion upward and downward in the punching chamber in a direction parallel with the longitudinal axes of the spikes which extend downwardly from the top wall of the chamber. During the upward motion, the slab of material is forced into the spikes which pierce the slab and forms the elongated bores or holes therein. In the downward cycle, the spikes are withdrawn from the slab of material. The slab with the bores or holes formed therein is ejected from the punching chamber by an entering, subsequent slab of material and the punching procedure is repeated.
