A print terminal unit includes a storage unit to store a lookup table on which information regarding an image forming apparatus corresponding to at least one type of a document is recorded, a user interface through which at least one type of at least one document to be printed is selected, and a controller to control an image forming apparatus that corresponds to the selected type of the document among the plurality of image forming apparatuses according to the lookup table to print the document. Accordingly, the user easily performs printing operation using an image forming apparatus separately depending on the type of the document.

A method and an apparatus for indicating the time to replace consumables in an image forming apparatus by receiving the current date and the critical time of the consumables from a host and comparing them. The apparatus and method include receiving information regarding replacement of the consumables from the host; comparing the received information regarding the replacement of the consumables to information on the critical time to replace the consumables; and when the comparison result indicates the need to replace the consumables, indicating the time to replace the consumables. The information regarding replacement of the consumables includes a current date, and the information on the critical time includes the critical time. The indicating of the time may include comparing the current date and the critical time and when the current date is the same as or greater than the critical time, determining that the consumables need to be replaced.
