A tubular flow control apparatus includes, a first screen surrounding a first tubular defining a first annular space therebetween, a second screen surrounding a second tubular defining a second annular space therebetween, and a third tubular positioned longitudinally between the first tubular and the second tubular having at least one passageway fluidically connecting the first annular space with the second annular space, the third tubular having at least one opening fluidically connecting the at least one passageway to a third space located radially outwardly of the third tubular.

Tubular flow control apparatus and method of packing particulates using a slurry

A filtering assembly is laid flat on an outer shroud. An inner drainage layer is set over the filtering assembly while laid flat such that the inner drainage layer overlaps the filtering assembly. The inner drainage layer is sealed and secured to the outer shroud by diffusion bonding or welding while overlaying the filtering assembly. With the filtering assembly held firm between the inner drainage layer and the outer shroud a spiral winding procedure is commenced to roll the flat assembly into a cylindrical shape. The edges are sealed by welding or diffusion bonding. The spiral winding and seam closure can be done on a perforated base pipe or the base pipe can be inserted into the finished assembly at a later time and secured. Alternatively the filtering assembly and outer shroud, with or without the drainage layer can be wound over a perforated base pipe or a complete screen assembly.

Subterranean screen assembly manufacturing method

A particulate exculder tool includes a basepipe having one or more retention features; a screen jacket disposed radially outwardly of the basepipe; one or more end housings at the screen jacket; and a deformable element disposed between a portion of the one or more end housings and one or of the one or more retention features and method.

Mechanically coupled screen and method

An assembly method for a downhole screen is disclosed. In the preferred embodiment, the filtration layer is slipped over a perforated base pipe and an expansion technique is used to increase the base pipe diameter to the point where, preferably, an interference fit exists. The expansion can be fully underneath the filtration layer or can be done in discrete zones. The finished assembly can still be expanded further downhole, such as, for example, in open hole completions. An outer protective shroud can be employed over the filtration layer when the expansion of the base pipe occurs.
