An artificial seedbed is disclosed comprising a foundation of virgin, re-processed or waste pulp formed by an aqueous based compression system, a dry non-woven air-blown system containing a cellulose-based binder or adhesive or a dry non-woven needle punched system containing a cellulose-based binder or adhesive. The seedbed can contain seeds, fertilizers, growth hormones, hydrogels, herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, or any other additive to promote the germination and the growth of the seeds and surrounding landscape.

A color calibration system includes a visual display terminal (VDT), a color calibration sensor optically coupled to the VDT, and a computer processing unit (CPU) electrically coupled to the VDT and the color calibration sensor. The VDT has a display screen and a plurality of color channels, each color channel having an intensity input, a bias input, and a gain input. The VDT produces an image on the display screen responsive to the intensity input. The color calibration sensor provides values responsive to the chromaticity and luminance of a test patch portion of the image on the display screen. The CPU performs calibration of the VDT including setting the bias of each color channel to reduce the difference between a target black point and the test patch with the intensity input at a minimum value for each color channel.

A seal system for a motor cover of an outboard motor includes a resilient hollow tubular seal member for providing a substantially water impervious seal at a joint between the motor cover and an adjoining housing member of the motor and wherein the seal member is pressurized with air to expand in the joint.

A fishing float apparatus for floatably supporting a fishing line in a body of water. The device includes a body member; a balloon attached to the body member, the balloon having a deflated position and an inflated position; a protective cover for covering the balloon when the balloon is in deflated; a pump for inflating the balloon; and attachment structure for attaching one end of the fishing line to the body member.

Fishing float apparatus

A hand tool for use with a water supply to allow easy cultivation and watering of gardens and the like. One end of a hollow, tubular handle is attached to a valve which, in turn, is coupled to the water supply for allowing the user of the hand tool to cause water to flow through the handle. A blade is attached to the other end of the handle. An aperture extends though the blade in communication with the cavity through the handle so that water flowing through the handle will flow through the aperture in the blade. A baffle is attached to the blade about the aperture through the blade on the side of the blade opposite the handle for deflecting water flowing through the handle and out the aperture in the blade.

The medicine dispenser includes a housing having a first compartment for holding the first medicine dose and for movement between a closed position in which access to the first medicine dose is prevented and an opened position in which access to the first medicine dose is allowed, and having a second compartment for holding the second medicine dose and for movement between a closed position in which access to the second medicine dose is prevented and an opened position in which access to the second medicine dose is allowed; a sound mechanism for selectively broadcasting audible descriptions of the first and second medicine doses; a first compartment switch for causing the sound mechanism to broadcast the audible description of the first medicine dose and for allowing the first compartment to move from the closed position to the opened position; and a second compartment switch for causing the sound mechanism to broadcast the audible description of the second medicine dose and for allowing the second compartment to move from the closed position to the opened position.
