Apparatuses and methods are disclosed for threading a nut along a stud or similar elongate member, including use of a contact member within a first orifice that engages the nut, and a torque transfer member within a second orifice that engages both the contact member and a power source, such as an air ratchet. Torque from the power source causes movement of the torque transfer member, which, in turn, causes movement of the contact member, thereby threading or unthreading the nut along the stud or other elongate member. The first orifice includes a through bore for accommodating passage of the elongate member, while the body of the apparatus can include ferromagnetic members for preventing loss of the nut and additional structures for limiting undesired movement of the power source or apparatus through contact.

Apparatus and methods for threading a nut along an elongate member

Apparatus and methods for pressure testing of conduits, tools, vessels, devices, or combinations thereof are described, which include a first testing unit having a first pump operable at a first pressure and a second testing unit having a second pump operable at a second pressure, both positioned in a housing. An auxiliary pump may be directly coupled with the output of one or both testing units to facilitate rapid achievement of a selected pressure. The testing units additionally include embodiments having electronic pressure control systems for rapid pressurization and remote control ability. Efficient, simultaneous testing of multiple objects, at differing pressures, is thereby possible, or alternatively, the second testing unit may be used for backup or redundancy purposes, or to further facilitate rapid achievement of the selected pressure by the first testing unit.

Apparatus and methods for pressure testing of tools and conduits

A thread-cleaning tool comprises a partially hollow nut for use with a pneumatic, hydraulic, or electrical nut-running power tool. The nut comprises a plurality of brushes mounted in alignment with the outside corners of the nut, and facing inward to the central orifice of the nut, such that the nut abrasively removes corrosion and particulates from the threads of a shaft. In an embodiment, the brushes of the nut are mounted upon brush assemblies comprising rotating cam members, located in recesses spaced to align with the outer corners of the nut, providing a mechanism for the brushes to move back and forth as the nut is rotated up and down the thread. The brush assemblies can be easily removed or substituted as wear and tear accumulates.

Apparatus and method for cleaning a threaded member

A runner apparatus is disclosed herein that is used alone or in combination with or incorporated into an existing torque wrench. The runner apparatus has a motor positioned offset from end operatively engaging a threaded member so that the runner apparatus or runner apparatus-torque wrench combination has a profile height that allows it to be positioned in confined spaces that are relatively small.
