A kitchen utensil comprises a handheld, low friction, cooking and serving spatula that includes: (a) a generally planar, elongated, blade exhibiting a rear portion connected to a handle, and a front portion extending a distance from the rear portion along a generally central axis between lateral sides of the blade; and (b) movable bearings restrained within in suitably dimensioned openings in the blade. These said bearings exhibit substantially free rotational motion within the blade plane to guide food on and off of the blade.

An insulated fence tensioner for use with a flexible polymer fence rail having at least one electrically conductive member has a metal barrel including a slot for receiving an end of the fence rail. An electrically non-conductive tubular liner is situated within the metal barrel, the liner including two edges defining a slot aligned with the metal barrel slot. An electrically non-conductive sleeve surrounds the metal barrel, the sleeve including two edges defining a slot aligned with the metal barrel slot. One set of the liner and sleeve edges are formed as a pair of folded edges positioned to penetrate the metal barrel slot and overlap the other set of the edges. An electrically non-conductive flange is positioned between the electrically conductive member of the flexible polymer fence rail and the metal mounting bracket of the fence tensioner.

Vertebral implants that may be movable between collapsed and expanded orientations to space apart first and second vertebral members. The implants may include first and second contact surfaces to contact against the vertebral members. The implants may include nested struts. The implants may have a first height measured between the contact surfaces in the collapsed orientation with a first amount of overlap in the struts. The implants may have a second height in the expanded orientation with a lesser amount of overlap in the struts.

The raised element feature allows the user to manipulate the control lever with less downward muscular force and with improved dexterity.
