Described is a method for the production of a moisture curable composition whereby the reactive end groups of a reactive polymer are reacted with a cross-linking agent for forming a prepolymer, whereby the method is operated in batch mode and the production of the prepolymer occurs in a mixing vessel, characterized in that the reactive polymer and the cross-linking agent, as well as the additional ingredients necessary for the production step in the mixing vessel, are introduced into the closed mixing vessel and react without opening the mixing vessel, and the mixing takes place without opening the mixing vessel, and the product is removed from the mixing vessel without opening the mixing vessel.

Method for producing moisture-sensitive products

Adhesive formulations are described that upon sufficient curing and drying, are not sticky or tacky at room temperature, yet can be heat bonded. The adhesives are particularly useful for use in bonding brake components together and find wide application in vehicle brake systems. When used in such systems, the adhesives do not flow in parking applications yet sufficiently dampen vibration in slowing or stopping applications to counter brake squeal. The adhesives can be provided in a tape form and used for bonding brake shims to brake pads in electronic parking brake systems.

Non-flowing silicone adhesive

The invention relates to multiphase compositions of matter comprising at least an acrylic phase and a hydrocarbon phase, and more specifically to pressure sensitive adhesive compositions of matter of an acrylic-hydrocarbon polymer and an additional hydrocarbon component which has a molecular weight of at least 1,000 and may include one or both of an oligomeric hydrocarbon and a polymeric hydrocarbon.
