An electrical female terminal, manufactured from a single metal sheet, comprising a crimping portion and a contact portion adapted to mate with a corresponding male terminal to be inserted therein, the contact portion comprising an outer frame having a top wall, a bottom wall parallel and opposed to the top wall, and two side walls, an inner frame encased in the outer frame, a first elastic contact member extending from the inner frame, and bearing on an inner portion of the bottom wall, a second elastic contact member extending from the inner frame and bearing on an inner portion of the top wall. The first and second elastic contact members have a convex shape oriented toward one another.

Electrical female terminal

The invention relates to a female electrical contact including a housing which is cut and folded from a metal strip and which includes at least one contact plate which extends along the longitudinal axis (A) of the housing and which is equipped with a section that is in contact with a complementary contact pin. According to the invention, the contact plate includes part for connecting to the housing and a free end. The invention also includes a spring element which is cut from the extension of the contact plate prior to folding, such as to form a counter plate after folding. The spring element and the plate are provided, for example, on either side of the above-mentioned connection part.

Electrical contact having a longitudinal axis along which a first central body and at least one first blade are produced, characterized in that this electrical contact is intended to be mated with a complementary electrical contact which itself has a second central body and at least one second blade, extending generally in the longitudinal direction of the second contact, so that when the contact and the complementary contact are mated the first blade is in electrical contact with the second central body and the second blade is in electrical contact with the first central body.
