A method for obtaining the position of a person in a space of a building via a thermal imager including a wide-angle lens, the method including: acquiring, with the thermal imager, through its wide-angle lens, a deformed thermal image of a scene including the person, the deformed thermal image including a hot zone corresponding to the person present in the scene; extracting a region of interest corresponding to the person from the deformed thermal image using an algorithm; determining the position of the region of interest by identifying the polar coordinates distance r and angle θ of the centre of the region of interest in a polar coordinate system the origin of which is at the centre of the deformed thermal image; and obtaining the actual position of the person by applying a wide-angle correction function to the distance r.

Method for obtaining the position of a person in a room, thermal imager and home automation sensor

A method for counting and for determining the position of people in a room, the method including: activating a thermal imager; the thermal imager capturing a raw thermal image of a scene included in the room; deactivating the thermal imager; after deactivating the thermal imager, acquiring a calibrated thermal image of the scene from the raw thermal image; comparing the calibrated thermal image of the scene with another calibrated thermal image of the scene acquired beforehand; and acquiring the number of people and the position of the people in the room.

The power supply system for one or more lighting modules with light-emitting diodes comprises an electrical power source able to be connected to each lighting module via an electrical connection and a detection device to detect a connection direction of each lighting module. The detection device comprises an injection circuit to inject a setpoint current, a first comparison circuit to compute a voltage measured on the corresponding electrical connection following the injection of the setpoint with a first voltage threshold, and an inversion circuit to invert the polarity of the lighting module when the voltage measured on the corresponding electrical connection is greater than or equal to the first voltage threshold.

A power supply device and method for selection of a supply voltage or current to be applied to a lighting system having light-emitting diodes. A processing circuit performs automatic detection of the direction of connection of the lighting system by injecting at least one polarity test current pulse. Monitoring of the supply voltage and current during the polarity test current pulse, and reversal of the direction of the current or voltage for monitoring the direction of current flow for attribution of the direction of the supply voltage or current, are also performed. The device and method also include detection of the type of lighting system to be supplied with regulated voltage or regulated current according to the dynamic resistance of said system.

A voltage sensor comprises a helicoidal winding formed by an optic fiber having at least one zone sensitive or sensitized to an electrical field having a 2nd order non-linear electro optic effect. The sensitization process of the optic fiber can be achieved by a polarization process under an electric field. The voltage sensor preferably comprises a device enabling the electrical field lines to be homogenized in the region where the helical winding is located. The phase difference induced by the optic wave by electro optic effect caused by the electrical field and representative of the voltage to be measured, can be measured by polarimetric or interferometric detection.
