A fuel storage device for a motor vehicle that includes a fuel tank, a canister fluidically connected to the fuel tank, at least one separation unit configured to receive the mixture of air and hydrocarbon vapors from the canister and to separate said mixture into a hydrocarbon-rich fraction and a hydrocarbon-poor fraction, the hydrocarbon-rich fraction being sent to the fuel tank, return means for returning the hydrocarbon-poor fraction to the canister, a purge pump for purging the canister which is arranged between the canister and the separation unit, at least one solenoid valve configured to selectively send the mixture of air and hydrocarbon vapors either to the separation unit or to the fuel tank.

Fuel storage device comprising a device for managing gases from a canister

A module () for use in a vehicle fuel system, said module comprising a housing () having a first port (), a second port () and a passage () between the first port and the second port; a closure body () that is moveably arranged in said housing; wherein said closure body is configured for closing the passage between the first port and the second port in a first position of the closure body and for allowing access to the passage in a second position of the closure body; and a pump () that is integrated in said housing (), wherein said pump () communicates with the first port () and is configured for pumping fluid into or out of the first port () while the closure body () is in the first position, characterized in that the module () further comprises a motor () and a closure body actuator () configured for positioning the closure body () in at least the first position and the second position, wherein said closure body actuator is driven by said motor (), and said motor is configured for driving the pump () while the closure body is in the first position.

Vehicle fuel system with vapour control

A valve apparatus for use in a liquid tank, includes a casing, an extractor, and a float. The casing defines a main chamber, the main chamber having an inlet orifice and at least one outlet orifice. The extractor includes at least one wall member extending substantially across the main chamber and being adapted for extracting droplets present in a vapour stream coming from the liquid tank and entering the main chamber via the inlet orifice. The float includes a closure element capable of closing off the outlet orifice(s), the float being slidably mounted along the at least one wall member.

Valve apparatus for venting a liquid tank

A tank for storing an internal combustion engine exhaust gas liquid additive, the tank including a wall defining an internal volume, an electrical component located in the internal volume, and at least one electric cable configured to connect the electrical component to a voltage source outside the tank, at least one portion of the electric cable being inserted into an intermediate part connected to a base plate mounted over an opening in the wall, the base plate incorporating a casing mounted leaktight around an orifice in the base plate. The intermediate part is fastened by a quick-connect coupling including an electrical connector to which the electric cable is connected leaktight with aid of a seal and that emerges from the orifice in the base plate to outside the tank. The seal is inserted between the intermediate part and the connector and/or into a housing of the intermediate part.

A method for loading or reloading a decomposition unit of a vehicular system, the vehicular system including a filler pipe in communication with the decomposition unit. The method includes introducing at least one capsule including at least one protein component adapted to decompose ammonia precursor through the filler pipe and which is then guided through the filler pipe towards the decomposition unit.

Method and system for loading or reloading a decomposition unit for use in a vehicle

An SCR method for purifying the exhaust gases of an internal combustion engine of a vehicle, according to which ammonia gas is exclusively metered in the exhaust gases, the method comprising a step of releasing ammonia gas from at least one solid absorbing matrix where it is stored by sorption and a step of metering the released ammonia gas in the exhaust gases. The method is such that it comprises a step of regenerating the solid absorbing matrix that consists in: generating a refilling ammonia gas by thermally decomposing an ammonia precursor in a heater mounted on board the vehicle; directing the refilling ammonia gas to the solid absorbing matrix where it is stored thereon.

A system and a process for storing an additive solution and injecting it into the exhaust gases of an internal combustion engine. The system comprises at least one tank for storing the additive, one pump equipped with an inlet and an outlet and that is capable of generating a direct flow (in injection mode) or a reverse flow (in drawing off mode), at least two additive solution suction points, and an injector, wherein a first suction point is connected to the pump inlet and is only active when the pump operates in injection mode, and wherein the second suction point is connected to the pump outlet and is only active when the pump operates in drawing off mode.
