In one embodiment, the present disclosure relates to a steam pressing appliance that includes a handle connected to a steam release nozzle. The steam release nozzle includes a heating body with an instant vaporization chamber and an electrical resistor regulated by a thermostat in order to keep the temperature of the vaporization chamber around a set-point temperature. The appliance also includes an electric pump to inject liquid into the vaporization chamber. The pump is controlled by a drive circuit that receives information from the thermostat on whether power is being supplied to the electrical resistor. The drive circuit modifies the operating conditions of the pump in accordance with whether or not current is supplied through the electrical resistor, operating in a first flow mode when current flows through the electrical resistor and operating in a second flow mode when no current flows through the electrical resistor.

An electrical household appliance includes a base for producing steam having a steam generator including a boiling chamber and a liquid reservoir supplying the boiling chamber by gravity, the liquid flowing by gravity from the reservoir toward the boiling chamber until the liquid level in the boiling chamber reaches an equilibrium level, called the reference level, at which the liquid level prevents air from entering the reservoir, the boiling chamber including a steam outlet through which steam can escape toward a work tool, such as a smoothing brush, and a communication opening connected to a pipe having an evacuation opening closed with a removable stopper, wherein the pipe includes a scale-collecting container that is removable through the evacuation opening.

Provided is an ironing appliance, including a pump that has a pumping chamber provided with an inlet and an outlet, the pumping chamber including a moveable wall having an outer surface contacting a piezoelectric actuator provided to move the movable wall while changing the volume of the pumping chamber by the piezoelectric actuator, wherein the pump is placed in the ironing appliance such that the outlet of the pumping chamber is located at a higher level than the inlet in a normal position for operating the appliance.

A heating structure for use in an appliance, the heating structure being a sandwich structure composed of two rigid elements constituting external elements of the sandwich structure, with at least one of the rigid elements being a heating plate; a heating unit composed of an electrical resistance component disposed between the rigid elements for producing heat which is diffused through the rigid elements, and electrical insulation material covering the electrical resistance component; and bonding layers securing the heating unit to the rigid elements. The heating unit further includes a primary layer of thermoplastic resin material into which the electrical resistance component is inserted, the electrical insulation material is composed of first and second layers of electrical insulation material which enclose the electrical resistance component, and the primary layer of thermoplastic resin material adheres to the layers of electrical insulation material. The bonding layers include a second layer of thermoplastic resin material disposed between, and adhering to, the heating plate and the first layer of electrical insulation material.

A flexible heating element is composed of at least one resistive conductor circuit having a first pair of ends, two sheets of electrically insulating material enclosing the conductor circuit, and a member for connecting the conductor circuit to at least one exterior electric unit. The member for connecting is constututed by at least one flexible connection tongue forming a projecting portion of the heating element. Two connection strips are each conductively connected to a respective end of the conductor circuit and are dimensioned to have a resistance appropriate to their connection function.
