The invention relates to the foundry field, and in particular to a foundry process comprising the preheating of a mold () up to a first temperature, the casting of a metal in the liquid state, at a second temperature above the first temperature, in the mold kept in a main furnace () at the first temperature since the preheating, the difference between the first temperature and second temperature being no more than 80&#xb0; C., the cooling and solidification of the metal in the mold () kept in the main furnace () at a pressure of less than 0.1 Pa at least since the casting, the removal of the mold () from the main furnace (), and the demolding of the solidified metal.

Foundry process with hot mold casting

A method for manufacturing a turbine engine blade () comprising a pressure side and a suction side separated from one another by an inner space for the circulation of cooling air, the blade () comprising a tip (S) with a closing wall () joining the pressure side and suction side walls in the region of this tip (S) in order to define a well shape, the closing wall including through-holes. The closing wall () obtained by moulding has a considerable nominal thickness with pits () locally reducing this thickness at each through-hole in order to facilitate the removal by chemical etching of alumina rods defining the holes. Since the closing wall () thus has a large nominal thickness, it can then be machined in order to form raised patterns or complex shapes inside the well.

The invention relates to the field of monocrystalline casting, and more specifically to a mold () for monocrystalline casting, and also to fabricating and using the mold. In particular, the mold () presents a mold cavity () comprising a first volume (), a second volume () and a grain duct (). The second volume () is situated on the first volume (), being in communication therewith, and includes at least one horizontal projection relative to the first volume (). The grain duct () has a bottom end () connected to the first volume () and a top end () adjacent to said horizontal projection of the second volume (). The mold () also has a separator member () interposed between the second volume () of the mold cavity () and the top end () of the grain duct ().

Mould for monocrystalline casting

A field of casting, and more particularly to a shell mold, and also to methods of fabricating and using such a shell mold. This shell mold includes a central cylinder, a plurality of molding cavities arranged in an assembly around the central cylinder, and at least one heat shield that is substantially perpendicular to the main axis. The central cylinder extends along a main axis between a casting cup and a base. Each molding cavity is connected to the casting cup by at least one feed channel, and also, by a baffle-selector with a starter in the base. The at least one heat shield completely surrounds each molding cavity in a plane that is substantially perpendicular to the main axis.

A casting pattern for a lost-pattern casting, the pattern being in a shape of a turbine engine blade with a root and a body on either side of a platform that is substantially perpendicular to a main axis of the blade, and a method of producing a shell mold from the pattern, and a casting method using the shell mold. The blade body presents a pressure side, a suction side, a leading edge, and a trailing edge. The pattern also includes an expansion strip adjacent to the trailing edge, and a refractory core embedded in the pattern but presenting, both on the pressure side and on the suction side, a respective flush varnished surface between the trailing edge and the expansion strip. A web extends between the platform and the expansion strip and presents a free edge between them.

The invention relates to the field of monocrystalline casting, and in particular to a mold () for monocristalline casting comprising at least a molding cavity (), a starter cavity () having at least a first volume () in the form of an upside-down funnel, and a distinct second volume () forming a plinth at the bottom of the first volume and projecting perceptibly relative to said first volume in at least one horizontal direction, a selector channel () connecting said starter cavity () to said molding cavity (), and a support rod () that is laterally offset relative to said selector channel, and that connects the second volume () of the starter cavity () to the molding cavity (). The invention also provides a casting method using such a mold ().
