A microsurgical instrument, with a handle and a removably insertable engine block. The handle can be coupled with a work piece and includes a base body and, mounted in the base body, an input shaft for motorized actuation of at least one degree of freedom of the work piece. In addition, the handle has an engine interface, into which the engine block can be installed, and on which at least an electric contact and a mechanical coupling are situated, the mechanical coupling includes a claw coupling element that is non-rotatably connected with the input shaft and can be coupled with a corresponding claw coupling element of the engine block. In addition, the handle has an actuation element, with which a current flow through the electric contact of the engine interface can be activated and deactivated. The claw coupling element of the handle is mounted on the input shaft so that it can slide longitudinally.

A medical instrument with a hollow shaft and at the distal end a tool actuated via a spring-loaded pull cable, wherein the tool is rotatable about the longitudinal axis of the shaft and is mounted such that it can be angled with respect to the longitudinal axis of the shaft. Actuation of the pull cable and rotation and angled positioning of the tool take place via separate drives, which are arranged on a handle. An anti-twist means protects the pull cable against torsion.

Medical instrument

A medical instrument comprises an interface for electrically connecting a drive unit with the medical instrument. The interface has a plurality of electrical contacts arranged in a connecting surface. At least one of the contacts in the connecting surface is electrically isolated from the remaining contacts by a recess or an elevation.

A handle for a medical instrument having a handle housing that can be closed by a cover and having at least one drainage or irrigation hose in the handle housing that can be connected to a hose connection support. To create a handle that is of a simple construction and ensures a reliable fluid-proof insulated connection of the at least one hose and the hose connection support while protecting a material of the at least one hose, it is proposed that each drainage or irrigation hose should be connectable by an adaptor to the hose connection support and that the adaptor upon closing the handle housing can be pressed against the hose connection support by a stop positioned on the cover or on a base portion of the handle housing.
