A control device for a heart pump, comprising a device for establishing the end-diastolic filling pressure in a ventricle and a device for associating a delivery rate of the pump, in particular a pump speed or an electric pump capacity, with the established end-diastolic filling pressure. By taking into account the end-diastolic filling pressure, a robust operating option of the heart pump, similar to the physio-logical control, is created.

Methods and systems are provided for determining an outlet pressure prevailing at an outlet of a heart assist system. An inlet pressure which prevails at an inlet of the heart assist system may be determined. A pressure difference between the inlet and the outlet of the heart assist system may be determined. The outlet pressure may be determined from the inlet pressure and the pressure difference.

Method and heart support system for determining an outlet pressure

A heart pump and method for the operation of a heart pump are provided. A volume flow and an oxygen saturation may be determined by a sensor device. The sensor device including an oximeter configured to determine the oxygen saturation from blood. The oximeter may be fastened on the pump and include a ring on which a radiation source and a radiation sensor are fastened. Oxygen flow through the pump may be determined from the volume flow and the oxygen saturation. The heart pump may be controlled based on the oxygen saturation and/or the oxygen flow through the pump.

Implantable heart pump

The invention relates to a heart pump () with a delivery channel and with a delivery device () for blood, which is arranged in this delivery channel, wherein the delivery channel at least partly runs in a pump tube (). A first sensor device () for measuring the oxygen saturation of the blood, is provided on the heart pump, in particular on a wall of the delivery channel, in particular on the pump tube. A control device can also be integrated into the pump. Thereby, additional monitoring and control possibilities result.
