A battery for a motor vehicle includes a plurality of battery cells and a housing. The battery cells are arranged within the housing and designed for storing energy and discharging electrical energy. The housing includes at least a first housing element and a second housing element. The first housing element and the second housing element are fixedly connected to each other. The first housing element and the second housing element each include a base surface and two lateral surfaces. The base surface is arranged between the lateral surfaces. A first distance by which the lateral surfaces extends away from the base surface is greater than a second distance by which the lateral surfaces are spaced apart from each other. The base surface and the lateral surfaces of the first housing element have the same dimensions as the base surface and the lateral surfaces of the second housing element.

Battery for a motor vehicle

A cooling segment for controlling the temperature of a battery module of a motor vehicle battery. The cooling segment includes an inflow channel for feeding of a cooling fluid, an outflow channel for discharge of the cooling fluid, which runs spaced apart from the inflow channel, and a plurality of cooling channels which communicate with the inflow channel and the outflow channel. The respective cooling channel has a first channel portion which is connected directly to the inflow channel and which partially runs to the outflow channel. A second channel portion is connected directly to the first channel portion and runs away from the outflow channel and partially toward the inflow channel. A final portion is connected directly or indirectly to the second channel portion and connected directly to the outflow channel.

Cooling segment for controlling the temperature of a battery module of a motor vehicle battery

A battery module with a battery cell stack which is formed from a plurality of battery cells, with deformable foam plates which are arranged between in each case adjacent battery cells for the compensation of deformations of the battery cells during their charging and discharging or on account of their aging. A cooling medium is conducted between respective adjacent battery cells in order to cool the battery cells. The cooling medium is a cooling liquid which makes direct contact with the battery cells. A cooling structure for conducting the cooling liquid to the battery cell and along the latter is arranged between the respective battery cell and the foam plate which faces it. The foam plate makes contact with the cooling structure, and the cooling structure making contact with the battery cell.

Battery module

A method fastens a battery control unit to a battery housing. At least one spacer is fastened to the battery housing, and the battery control unit is fastened to the battery housing at least via the spacer. After fastening the spacer to the battery housing, the spacer is reworked by way of an ablative method on a side which faces the battery control unit to a height which is required for fastening the battery control unit.

Method for mounting a battery control unit on a battery housing

A battery arrangement () for an electrically drivable motor vehicle has a battery housing () for receiving battery cells for electrically driving the motor vehicle. A control electronics system () is provided outside the battery housing () for controlling the battery cells. A module housing () is connected to the battery housing () for covering the control electronics system () and a module heat-conducting element () is provided between the control electronics system () and the module housing () so that heat generated in the control electronics system () is dissipated to the module housing () by heat conduction. The module housing () and the module heat element () passively cool the control electronics system (), which is provided outside the battery housing (), thereby providing simple and cost-effective dissipation of heat produced in the battery arrangement ().

Battery arrangement for an electrically drivable motor vehicle

A temperature-control arrangement has an electrical energy store, a thermal device, a cooling device and a coolant circuit with coolant lines, which coolant lines are at least partially activatable and deactivatable by means of controllable valves. The temperature-control arrangement is designed to permit at least a first state and a second state of the coolant circuit through actuation of the controllable valves, wherein the coolant circuit is designed to, in the first state, permit a coolant flow from the cooling device both to the thermal device and to the electrical energy store, and from these back to the cooling device, in order to cool the thermal device and the electrical energy store, and wherein the coolant circuit is designed to, in the second state, permit a coolant flow from the thermal device to the electrical energy store, and from the latter back to the thermal device, in order to heat the electrical energy store.

Temperature-control arrangement for an electrical energy store

A battery module () has a first and second partial modules () with first and second battery cells () respectively. A cooling medium for cooling the first battery cells () is in a first volume that is bounded by a first partial housing () and can flow through the first partial module (), and a cooling medium for cooling the second battery cells () in a second volume bounded by a second partial housing () can flow through the second partial module (). The first partial housing () has a first tubular flange () projecting into a first intermediate space () between the first battery cells (), and the second partial housing () has a second tubular flange () projecting into a second intermediate space () between the second battery cells (). The first and second volumes are connected via the first and second tubular flanges ().

A terminal holder is provided for holding a connection terminal () for at least three round cells (). The terminal holder has a centrally encircling rib () for placement of the terminal holder () on the round cells () and for spacing the connection terminal () apart from the round cells (). An elastic lip () is arranged at the end for clamping the terminal holder () between the round cells (). A plastic head () is arranged opposite the lip (), for fastening the terminal holder () on the connection terminal ().

A battery module () has a large number of battery cells (). Each battery cell () has a contact section () with a positive pole () and a negative pole () on an outer wall of the battery cell (). An apparatus () for the battery module () has a terminal sheet () and a flat body () made of an electrically insulating material. The flat body () is between the terminal sheet () and the battery cells () and has holes () registered with the positive poles (). Contact elements () extend from the terminal sheet () through the holes () in the flat body () and electrically connect the terminal sheet () to the positive poles ().

Apparatus for a battery module

A sealing element () for sealing battery cells () of a battery module () for the purely electric drive of a motor vehicle has a first sealing disk () for a seal-forming attachment between a housing () and a first attachment frame (), a second sealing disk () spaced from the first sealing disk () for a seal-forming attachment between the housing () and a second attachment frame (), and receptacle pockets (), connecting the first and second sealing disks () for accommodating battery cells () therein. The first and second sealing disks () and the receptacle pockets () are manufactured in one piece from a common sealing material. Thus, the battery cells () can be sealed with respect to a cooling medium that flows through the housing () thereby avoiding the risk of electrical short-circuits via the cooling medium.

A battery module () for the purely electric driving of a motor vehicle has a trough-shaped battery box () that runs around a circumferential direction, an inlet for feeding a coolant into a cooling space () partially bounded by the battery box (), an outlet for conducting the coolant away from the cooling space (), battery cells () in the battery box () and arranged in the cooling space (), and an insulating layer () for fluid-tight sealing of the cooling space (). At least one electrical pole () of the battery cell () projects out of the cooling space () through the insulating layer (). The insulating layer () is formed from a previously liquid cured sealing compound. The insulating layer () can simultaneously make available a high sealing effect and a statically stabilizing effect for the battery box () together with a low intrinsic weight.
