Disclosed is a sensor roller for monitoring a lubrication condition of a roller bearing, the sensor roller providing a measuring unit for measuring at least a temperature, a speed change and a load of the roller, and a processing unit for generating a temperature profile, a speed change profile and a load profile of the roller based on the measured temperature and speed change.

A method of determining the center of loading of a rolling element includes providing a rolling element body and at least three load sensors. The sensors are each positioned within a bore of the rolling element body at a separate distance from a reference position. Load measurements are taken with each one of the sensors at various positions about the circumference of the bearing and the center of loading is calculated at each one of the positions to determine the variation in axial loading about the bearing circumference.

A cage segment for a rolling-element bearing having a plurality of rolling elements includes at least one bridge and first and second plates extending from axial ends of the bridge, sides of the bridge being configured to guide rolling elements. Radially inner or outer edges of each of the bridges include at least one axial channel having channel walls projecting radially and circumferentially from the radial inner or outer edge.

A method for assembling a tapered roller bearing includes providing a first rolled-on surface element having a raceway and an axial end surface and mounting a plurality of tapered rollers separated by a plurality of bearing cage segments or by a plurality of roller spacers on the raceway, where each of the plurality of tapered rollers has a frustoconical rolling surface and a circular end surface meeting at a junction. Also placing at least one assembly ring around the plurality of tapered rollers to hold the plurality of tapered rollers against the first rolled-on surface element, and moving a second rolled-on surface element coaxially toward the first rolled-on surface element such that a portion of the second rolled-on surface element contacts the at least one assembly ring and pushes the at least one assembly ring axially off the plurality of tapered rollers.

Method for assembling a tapered roller bearing, and assembly unit for this purpose

An assembly tool for a bearing ring having roller members, the tool including a ring configured to be arranged on a side face of the bearing ring and including sliding elements received in receiving members on the ring. The sliding elements are distributed peripherally in a uniform manner around the ring and are configured to be displaced from a starting position into an end position relative to the ring. When the tool is mounted on the ring, the sliding elements, positioned in their end positions, extend between adjacent roller members and limit a radial movability of the roller members relative to the bearing ring.

Assembly tool and method for mounting a bearing

An installation tool for a bearing ring including rolling elements includes a ring that is configured to be disposed on a lateral surface of the bearing ring and slider elements extending through receptacles in the ring. The slider elements are uniformly distributed circumferentially around the ring and are displaceable relative to the ring from an initial position into an end position and are configured to be disposed in the end position between two rolling elements and against a contact surface of a wall of a cage segment, which wall is disposed between two rolling elements, in order to limit axial and radial movement of the rolling elements relative to the bearing ring.

A tensioner for preloading a bearing, the bearing including a first bearing ring and a second bearing ring and being configured to transmit a preload force in a radial direction and/or in an axial direction between the first bearing ring and the second bearing ring, the tensioner including a component coupled to the first bearing ring, a support element for supporting the component relative to the second bearing ring such that a closed force flow arises from the first bearing ring via the component and the support element to the second bearing ring, and a sleeve disposed in an axially displaceable manner between the first bearing ring and the component, the sleeve being configured to change the preload force in response to an axial displacement of the sleeve with respect to the component.
