A method for scanning a location, including the following features: an ego velocity is measured at predefined points in time, and a counter is incremented as a function of the ego velocity, and as soon as the counter reaches a predefined threshold value, the location is determined.

Method and device for scanning a location

A valve device for controlling or metering a fluid includes a housing, a flow duct formed in the housing, and a valve body arranged in the flow duct. The valve body has a sealing section which, when the valve device is closed, rests on a sealing seat on the housing. The sealing section and sealing seat together form a sealing region. When the valve device is closed, a decay chamber is defined immediately upstream of the sealing region in the flow duct. The decay chamber is bounded by a baffle wall that is tilted with respect to the normal to the sealing region at an angle of at most 15&#xb0; in the flow direction to 60&#xb0; counter to the flow direction.

Valve device for controlling or metering a fluid

A valve device includes a housing, a flow duct and a valve body. The valve body is arranged in the flow duct and has a sealing section that bears against a housing-side sealing seat when the valve device is closed. The sealing section and the sealing seat together form a sealing region. There is a collapse zone immediately upstream of the sealing region in the flow duct when the valve device is closed. The collapse zone is delimited by a boundary wall that is at least substantially perpendicular with respect to a movement axis of the valve body and by a deflector wall that is arranged at an angle with respect to the boundary wall. The boundary wall is longer than the deflector wall.

Valve device

A quantity control valve comprises a valve needle configured to move in an axial direction, a damping chamber having a wall, and a valve element delimiting the damping chamber. The valve needle is configured to move the valve element in an opening direction. A gap is defined between the wall of the damping chamber and the valve element. The gap has at least one recess and connects the damping chamber to a flow duct.

A valve device for switching or metering a fluid includes a housing, a flow channel defined by the housing, and a valve body arranged in the flow channel. The valve body has a sealing section which contacts a housing-side sealing seat when the valve device is closed. The sealing section at least slightly protrudes beyond a surface of the valve body facing the sealing seat.

A control valve is provided, in particular for metering in a fluid for a delivery pump which is arranged downstream. The control valve has a flow channel, an axially movable valve needle, and a valve element which can be loaded by the valve needle in an opening direction and is arranged in the flow channel. If the valve element is actuated in the opening direction by the valve needle, the fluid can flow back through the flow channel at least temporarily counter to the opening direction of the valve element. Upstream of the valve element as viewed in the backflow direction, the flow channel has a fluidically active shield which keeps the backflow at least partially free of a face of the valve element.
