An electronic gaming machine includes a cabinet and a pair of retractable wheel assemblies mechanically coupled to the cabinet. Each retractable wheel assembly includes a first retractable wheel and a second retractable wheel. The first retractable wheel and the second retractable wheel of each retractable wheel assembly are movable, independently of one another, between a retracted position, in which the pair of retractable wheel assemblies allow the cabinet to contact an external surface, and an extended position, in which the pair of retractable wheel assemblies support the cabinet above the external surface.

Retractable wheel assembly for raising and lowering a gaming machine cabinet

A weightless articulating door mount for a gaming machine is disclosed. The weightless articulating door mount has a four link mechanism and a cam. A biasing mechanism interacts with the weightless articulating door mount through the cam and provides a uniform force counteracting the weight of the door/monitor. With the door/monitor effectively weightless, the door may be opened and will remain in place absent any further disturbance.

An electronic gaming machine includes a cabinet having an internal frame and a pair of retractable wheel assemblies mechanically coupled to the internal frame. Each retractable wheel assembly includes a first retractable wheel, and a second retractable wheel. The first retractable wheel and the second retractable wheel are movable between a retracted position and an extended position. The first and second retractable wheels of each of the pair of retractable wheel assemblies support the cabinet above an external surface when each are in the extended position, thereby facilitating movement of the cabinet across the external surface. An electronic gaming machine includes a cabinet, an access door, an electromechanical latch mechanically coupled to the cabinet and configured to mechanically engage and disengage the access door, and a switch assembly operable to control the electromechanical latch. The switch assembly includes a lock mechanically coupled to the cabinet and extending into the cabinet, a cam mechanically coupled to a rotatable portion of the lock within the cabinet, and a switching element mounted within the cabinet proximate the cam and configured to be mechanically engaged and actuated by the cam when the cam rotates into contact with the switching element, wherein the switching element is electrically connected to the electromechanical latch and is further configured to control the electromechanical latch in response to actuation by the cam.
