A circuit board and a smart card module and a smart card employing the circuit board are provided. The circuit board includes a substrate and a pad region provided on the substrate. The pad region is configured for mounting an electronic component, and comprises a plurality of pads spaced from each other and traces connected to their respective pads. At least one of the pads has an arc edge. In the present invention, the distance between the pads is easy to be controlled during fabrication, and the stability of the adhesion between the chip and pad region is enhanced.

Circuit board and smart card module and smart card utilizing the same

A circuit board and a smart card module and a smart card employing the circuit board are provided. The circuit board includes a substrate and a pad region provided on the substrate. The pad region is configured for mounting an electronic component. The pad region comprises a plurality of pads spaced from each other and traces connected to their respective pads. At least one of the traces comprises an extension which extends along a perimeter of the pad region. The present invention provides a reliable adhesion between the chip and pad region.

A colored smart card module having a light-transmissible substrate with first and second sides; a card-reader contact element formed on the first side of the substrate; and a colored ink layer printed on the second side of the substrate. The printed colored ink layer is then at least in part visible from the first side of the substrate around the card-reader contact element. A smart card including such a colored smart card module is also provided.

Colored smart card module

A security wrap () for protecting an electronic component includes a substrate () having a first side and a second side opposite to each other. A security screen () is disposed over the first side of the substrate () and includes a pair of screen terminals () and a frangible and electrically conductive path () between the pair of screen terminals (). A layer of adhesive () is over the first side of the substrate () and bonds the first side of the substrate () to the electronic component with the security screen () sandwiched there between.

Security wrap with breakable conductors

An electronic device is protected from unauthorized access by use of a security wrap which comprises at least a substrate, a security screen, a layer of adhesive and decoy pattern. The security screen is disposed over one side of the substrate and includes a pair of screen terminals and a conductive path between the pair of screen terminals. The layer of adhesive bonds the first side of the substrate to the electronic component with the security screen sandwiched there between. The decoy pattern is at least partially impervious to X-ray and overlays said security screen.

Security wrap

A security wrap () for protecting an electronic component () includes a substrate () having a first side and a second side opposite to each other. A conductive path () is disposed over the first side of the substrate () and has first and second ends coupled to the electronic component (), and a pattern selected from a plurality of predetermined patterns. A layer of adhesive () is over the first side of the substrate () and bonds the first side of the substrate () to the electronic component () with the conductive path () sandwiched there between.

A security wrap () for protecting an electronic component () having a bonding surface includes a substrate () having a first side and a second side opposite to each other. A first security screen () is disposed over the first side of the substrate () and includes a first pair of screen terminals () and a first conductive track () between the first pair of screen terminals (). A second security screen () includes a second pair of screen terminals () and a second conductive track () between the second pair of screen terminals () and overlaying the first conductive track () on the first security screen (). A layer of adhesive () is over a side of the second security screen () remote from the substrate () and bonds the second security screen () to the bonding surface of the electronic component ().
