An absolute position transducer (encoder) comprising an incremental encoder having a coded disk connected stably to a shaft, and connected to a sensor for emitting a signal for each complete turn of the disk The incremental encoder produces a first and second signal, each consisting of a sequence of pulses in which each pulse equals one elementary angular increment of the shaft, and a third signal (ZERO) consisting of a sequence of zero pulses, each emitted for each complete turn of the shaft. The absolute encoder comprises a resettable counter for counting the signal emitted by the sensor and memorizing the number of turns of the shaft in a permanent memory; and a control circuit enabled by a zero pulse generated by the incremental encoder, and cooperating with a coding circuit for emitting a coded dummy zero pulse in such a manner that, in the interval between the zero and dummy zero pulses, the first or second signal supplies a decoding circuit with a number of pulses equal to the number stored in the memory of the count circuit.

Position transducer

The apparatus detects corduroy cutter needles coming out of the weft yarn loop channels which are being cut open by the needles, by means of a laser beam scanning about 10 to 20 times a second, transversely across the region where the parallel needles are working. The scanning laser beam creates a diffused light pattern having the general form of a transversely oriented geometric prism, e.g. a cylinder; and a plurality of detector devices determines any variation in the light distribution, as to time and lateral distance, in this scattered or diffused light pattern. A logic circuit carries out and displays the results of the scanning and detecting, and stops the corduroy cutting machine when an emerged needle is detected.

Method for detecting anomalies in corduroy preparation

In a electronic sewing machine a keyboard and a display are provided, operatively connected to a microprocessor, and adapted to permit, in a simple way, the setting of pattern series and of corresponding sewing parameters, as well as the modification, correction, inputting or erasion of one or more patterns of the same pattern series.

Apparatus for detecting anomalies in corduroy preparation

A laser cutting machine consisting of a focusing head; an exit nozzle; a joint structure which supports the head; a control unit; a drive device, which is supported by a joint structure and controlled by a control unit to move the head along a specified path in space, whereby a theoretically determined, invariant distance is maintained between the exit nozzle and a plate material to be cut, the head having first and second portions which can move relative to each other in the axial direction; a servomechanism, one end of the portions being coupled to the nozzle and a focusing lens, whereby while the machine is in use, the servomechanism controls the relative motion of the two portions in the axial direction independently of the control unit to maintain a specified and invariant distance between the nozzle and the surface.

Laser cutting machine

The present invention relates to a focusing head 1 for a laser-beam cutting machine on which the head is designed to turn, in relation to the machine structure 4, around two axes combining to form an angle, the head consisting of two portions 15, 24 one of which 24 is provided with an output nozzle 43 and a focusing lens 42 and moves axially in relation to the other by means of a servomechanism 49 controlled by a position sensor 46 in sliding contact with the sheet material 3 being cut, the sensor 46 being tubular, being assembled in sliding manner on to the end of the nozzle 43 and constituting a guide for a cover gas.
