Air cleaner assemblies and serviceable filter cartridges therefor are described. Example filter cartridges described which include a first end cap with a air flow aperture therethrough, having an outer axial surface and axial seal ring thereon. Example arrangements are provided with air flow inlet tube section defining the aperture through the first end cap. Also, water seal arrangements, typically positioned radially inwardly from the air seal arrangement, are described.

A reverse flow air filter arrangement is provided. The arrangement includes a filter element having first and second end caps, the second end cap having a central drainage aperture. A funnel shape on an interior surface of second end cap is used to direct moisture flow to the drainage aperture. The arrangement includes a housing in which the filter element is positioned, operatively, during use. Certain features in the housing facilitate moisture withdrawal from the filter element while also inhibiting interference with sealing between the filter element and the housing.

Reverse flow air filter arrangement and method

A reverse flow air filter arrangement is provided. The arrangement includes a filter element having first and second end caps, the second end cap having a central drainage aperture. The arrangement includes a housing in which the filter element is positioned, operatively, during use. Certain features in the housing facilitate moisture withdrawal from the filter element while also inhibiting interference with sealing between the a filter element and the housing.

Reverse flow air filter arrangement

An air filter element includes structure for supporting a secondary air filter element mounted within it, such as a safety element. In certain arrangements, the air filter element includes a media pack having first and second ends and defining an open filter interior. A first open end cap is positioned on the media pack first end. A second closed end cap is positioned on the media pack second end. The spacer construction has attachment structure and positioning structure. The attachment structure secures the spacer arrangement within the open filter interior, and the positioning structure extends from the attachment structure. In one illustrated embodiment, the spacer construction includes an insert embedded within the second closed end cap. In one illustration, the insert has a circular disk with feet and a centrally extending post with a fin arrangement.

A filter element includes first and second ends, an extension of filter media, an outer liner, an inner liner, and a sealing ring. The first end cap consists essentially of a foamed polyurethane having an as molded density of about 14-22 pounds per cubic foot. The sealing ring extends outwardly only from the outer surface of the first end cap. The sealing ring is a molded part of the first end cap and consists essentially of foamed polyurethane having an as molded density of about 14-22 pounds per cubic foot. The sealing ring has an axially directed top edge, first and second sidewall portions, and a base. The first and second sidewall portions are immediately adjacent to and angled from the top edge of the sealing ring.

Filter element

The invention is directed toward a filter element for mounting on an air filter system. The filter element has a central air flow aperture and a first slide or support construction. The slide or support construction has a central rim, which is positioned within the central air flow aperture and is oriented to support the filter element.
