The invention concerns a rotating electric machine comprising a stator equipped with armature coils and a rotor mounted rotating inside the stator. The rotor is substantially uniform over its axial surface and ahs along its tangential direction a distribution of polar parts with permanent magnet(s) each defining two poles of polarities imposed by magnet(s), ad polar parts with magnetic resistance each defining two poles with free polarities. Rotating electric machine with permanent magnets and magnetic resistance having an improved structure

An electric machine such as an alternator for a motor vehicle is provided. The machine includes a stator and a rotor, the stator having at least one secondary winding received in at least one pair of slots. The rotor has at least two successive excitation magnets which generate two magnetic fluxes in the rotor and has components in opposite tangential directions around the structure of the rotor. The rotor has an even number of slots between the two magnets. The slots define projecting poles between them and receive winding legs that are suitable for being powered to co-operate with the magnets to define alternating poles. Each of the slots that receives the winding legs is occupied only by a single leg or by a plurality of legs wound around the same projecting pole. The shaft of the rotor is made of a magnetic material. The machine includes at least one non-magnetic zone in the vicinity of the shaft and in the vicinities of the magnets, which non-magnetic zone minimizes flux leakage towards the shaft of the rotor.

A flux concerning electrical machine has a stator and a rotor, the stator including on its face a series of notches housing a series of stator coils, and further including a series of housings for excitation means, and the rotor including a plurality of flux commutator teeth for selectively making pairs of closed magnetic circuits through the stator coils. In accordance with invention the stator includes a plurality of independent stator coils defining as many phases and located in a series of individual cells angularly distributed on its circumference and the rotor teeth are equi-angularly spaced so that the angular positions of the various pairs of teeth have predetermined phases relative to the various individual cells. The invention is applicable in particular to brushless alternators for motor vehicles.

A rotary electrical machine has at least one stator and a rotor. The stator includes at least one armature winding received in at least one pair of slots. The rotor includes flux switching arrangement, which is adapted for selectively establishing closed magnetic circuits which pass around the turns of the armature winding. The arrangement for switching the flux comprises at least one permanent magnet adapted to establish a magnetic flux which is looped on itself in one circumferential direction of the rotor, together with at least one excitation winding for establishing an adjustable magnetic flux locally in a circumferential direction opposite to the direction of the flux produced by the magnets.

A flux commutating electrical machine includes a stator and a rotor. The rotor selectively establishes closed magnetic circuits around sections of the armature coils. Excitation permanent magnets establish a magnetic flux closing on itself in a circumferential direction and excitation coils establish a localized variable magnetic flux in an opposite direction to that of the flux produced by the magnets. Each magnet is housed in a first rotor part defining a first pair of rotor poles, and the coils are disposed around a second rotor part ends of which define a second pair of poles. The rotor has between the adjacent first and second rotor parts third rotor parts forming with the first and second parts a circumferential magnetic conduction path.

Dual excitation electrical machine, and especially motor vehicle

An electrical machine includes a stator and a rotor. The stator includes on its internal face at least one induction winding housed in a pair of recesses and a series of housings for excitation means. The rotor does not have windings and includes teeth for establishing variable magnetic fluxes in the induction winding. The excitation brings into play permanent magnets adapted to establish a closed circumferential magnetic flux in the stator and excitation windings locally establishing an adjustable magnetic flux in the reverse circumferential direction. The rotor teeth are adapted to effect a flux commutation in the stator and the, or each, permanent magnet occupies an angular position located between the angular positions of the two arms of a common induction winding. In this way an alternating magnetic flux is produced in the induction winding or windings during the rotation of the rotor.

A flux commutating electrical machine includes a stator and a rotor, the stator including at least one armature coil housed in at least one pair of notches and the rotor selectively establishing closed magnetic circuits around sections of the armature coil(s). At least one excitation permanent magnet establishes a magnetic flux in a circumferential direction of the rotor and at least one excitation coil establishes a localized variable magnetic flux in the same circumferential direction as the flux produced by the magnet(s). The magnet or each magnet is housed in a first rotor part defining a first pair of rotor poles, the coil is or the coils are housed in a second rotor part defining a second pair of rotor poles and the rotor parts are separated from each other by essentially magnetically non-conductive areas.
