A display device is disclosed, which may prevent an inorganic film formed in an organic film open area from being damaged and prevent a cathode electrode from being shorted. The display device includes a substrate including a display area on which pixels area arranged, and a non-display area surrounding the display area; a first metal layer formed in the non-display area of the substrate; at least one insulating film arranged on the first metal layer; a second metal layer arranged on the at least one insulating film and connected with the first metal layer through a contact hole that passes through the at least one insulating film formed in the non-display area; a cover layer arranged on the contact hole and formed to overlap the contact hole; and an encapsulation film formed to cover the display area and the cover layer.

A flexible display device can include a first portion in which an organic light emitting element is disposed on a first surface; a base layer made of a flexible substrate including a second portion, outside of the first portion, having a bend section bent toward a second surface opposite to the first surface; and a protective coating layer covering at least a part of the second portion, wherein a polarization layer is on the organic light emitting element of the first portion without a barrier film, and wherein the protective coating layer is coated such that a portion adjacent to the polarization layer is thicker than the other portion.

An organic light emitting display device includes a substrate in which an active area and a bending area are defined, a thin film transistor on the substrate in the active area, a first wiring line on the substrate in the bending area, a first planarization layer which is on the thin film transistor in the active area and on the first wiring line in the bending area, a second wiring line on the first planarization layer in the bending area, a second planarization layer which is on the first planarization layer in the active area and on the first planarization layer and the second wiring line in the bending area, an organic light emitting element on the second planarization layer in the active area, and a micro-cover layer on the second planarization layer in the bending area.
