Disclosed herein is a linear, curved or rotary electric machine. The electric machine includes first and second movers which are adjacent to each other and have a phase angle difference of 60&#xb0; therebetween. The first mover includes phases U, V and W and the second mover includes phases /U, /V and /W. The electric machine of the present invention can reduce pulsations of thrust caused by end effect. In particular, in the case where the stator includes permanent magnets having the same poles and salient poles which alternate with the permanent magnets, the number of permanent magnets used can be reduced to half of that of a conventional linear electric machine.

Doubly salient permanent magnet electric machine

Disclosed herein is a structure for linear and rotary electric machines. The present invention provides a modular mover structure which includes coils that have an electrical phase difference of 180&#xb0;, so that the path of magnetic flux is shortened, thus reducing the size of the machine and mitigating the back-EMF unbalance. The modular mover structure can be modified into various shapes. For example, when a skew structure is applied to a mover or stator iron core, the force ripples in an electric machine can be reduced. In addition, when a hinge structure is applied to a modular mover iron core, the mover can move in a linear and curved manner. The structure of the present invention can be applied to a rotary electric machine. In this case, because the number of poles is easily increased, a low speed high torque direct drive type rotary electric machine is realized.

Structure for linear and rotary electric machines

The present invention provides a cylindrical magnetic levitation stage which includes a cylindrical substrate used to form micro-patterns of various arbitrary shapes on a large-area semiconductor substrate or display panel substrate, a cylindrical substrate, a combination of a first permanent magnet array and a first coil array and a combination of a first permanent magnet array and a first coil array, which are coupled to the cylindrical substrate, so that levitation, axial translation and rotation of the cylindrical substrate can be made finely through the control of a magnetic force generated by the interaction between a magnetic field generated by electric current applied to the coil arrays and a magnetic field generated from the permanent magnet arrays corresponding to the coil arrays.

Disclosed herein is an inner rotor type permanent magnet excited transverse flux motor, in which a laminated structure in an axial direction or in a radial shape is applied to a stator iron core so as to employ a small amount of permanent magnets compared with a conventional outer rotor type permanent magnet excited transverse flux motor, thus providing high output power, increasing the efficiency of power generation, and reducing noise and vibration. For this, the present invention provides an inner rotor type permanent magnetic excited transverse flux motor comprising: a stator including a stator powdered iron core press-molded using a mold, a stator laminated iron core laminated on upper and lower layer portions of the circumference of the stator powdered iron core at regular intervals, and a stator winding which winds the segmented stator powdered iron core in which a current flows is wound between the intervals; and a rotor in which a rotor permanent magnet and a rotor powdered iron core are arranged alternately to face each other.

Inner rotor type permanent magnet excited transverse flux motor

Disclosed herein is to a flux reversal motor. The flux reversal motor includes a mover, and a plurality of permanent magnets. The mover moves linearly relative to a stator. A plurality of permanent magnets, having identical polarities, is provided in the end of each mover tooth. The permanent magnets are arranged on the left and right sides of a protrusion of the end of the mover tooth. Thus low noise/low vibration, high speeds, high precision, and high thrust motion can be realized.

Disclosed herein is a permanent magnet-excited transverse flux motor with an outer rotor. The permanent magnet-excited transverse flux motor comprises: a stator including a stator powdered iron core formed by an extruded molding through a mold, a pair of stator laminated iron cores stacked respectively at an upper layer portion and a lower layer portion of an outer circumference of the stator powdered iron core in such fashion as to be spaced apart from each other by a certain interval, and a stator winding interposed between the upper layer portion and the lower layer portion in such fashion as to be wound around the stator powdered iron core to form a multiple coil through which current flows; and a rotor including a plurality of rotor permanent magnets and a plurality of rotor powdered iron cores disposed on the outer circumference of the stator in such a fashion as to be are alternately arranged adjacent to one another.

Disclosed herein is a permanent magnet excited transverse flux linear motor with a normal force compensation structure in which a stator is inserted in the middle of leg portions of a mover so as to compensate normal forces generated between the mover and the stator, thus reducing noise and vibration. The permanent magnet excited transverse flux linear motor with a normal force compensation structure in accordance with the present invention comprises: a mover including iron cores and permanent magnets, arranged alternately with each other, and a winding coil winding the mover iron cores and the mover permanent magnets; and a stator having an air gap between the mover and itself and arranged longitudinally in the moving direction of the mover, wherein the mover iron cores and the mover permanent magnets are formed in the shape of '&#x2229;', of which both leg portions and middle portions are arranged in a straight line, the winding coil winds the both leg portions of the mover iron cores and the mover permanent magnets in the shape of '&#x2229;', respectively, and an iron core of the stator having a concave-convex shape, in which a plurality of projections formed along the length of a central portion and projected from the central portion to the left and right sides alternately, is arranged to be inserted in the middle of the both leg portions of the mover iron cores and the mover permanent magnets.

Permanent magnet excited transverse flux linear motor with normal force compensation structure

Disclosed herein is a horizontal and vertical transportation system using permanent magnet excited transverse flux linear motors which is capable of linearly transporting an object in the horizontal direction and in the vertical direction using permanent magnet excited transverse flux linear motors, thereby obtaining a simple structure of the system and preventing any occurrence of dust generated by abrasion between the parts of the system. The system comprises a horizontal transportation unit and a vertical transportation unit. The horizontal transportation unit is adapted for transporting the object in the horizontal direction by means of a thrust from a permanent magnet excited transverse flux horizontal linear motor. The vertical transportation unit is installed on the horizontal transportation unit. The vertical transportation unit is adapted for transporting the object in the vertical direction by means of thrusts from permanent magnet excited transverse flux vertical linear motors.

Disclosed is a brushless generator with permanent magnets, which provides high-speed operation, simple maintenance, lightweight, and stable power. The brushless generator with permanent magnets including a main generator with a stator and a rotor; and an auxiliary generator having a stator made of a hollow stator core and a coil wound around the stator core, and a rotor made of a rotor core rotating within the stator core and a coil wound around the rotor core, where wedges and grooves are formed alternatively on the inner portion of the stator core of the auxiliary generator, and permanent magnets are embedded in the body of the grooves and the coil is wound around the body of the grooves. Accordingly, without the use of a brush, a rated load voltage is generated from the permanent magnets of the auxiliary generator, and voltage variations due to load variations are controlled by the windings of the auxiliary generator. Therefore, along with reduction in capacity of controller, high-speed operation and highly efficient operation become possible, small size and lightweight can be obtained, and maintenance can be simpler.

A transverse flux linear motor with permanent magnet excitation having a stator including stator cores and windings respectively wound around the stator cores and supplied with current, and a mover arranged at a central portion of the stator, the mover including mover cores and permanent magnets. Each of the permanent magnets is arranged between adjacent ones of the mover cores. Each stator core has a pair of column portions spaced apart from each other by a desired distance. The windings are arranged in pairs such that each of the winding pairs has two windings wound around respective column portions of an associated one of the stator cores.

Integrated system for non-contact power feed device and permanent magnet-excited transverse flux linear motor

The present invention relates to an integrated system in which a bilateral permanent magnet excited synchronous motor part and a non-contact power feeding part are combined in order to generate a linear driving force and to feed an electric power without any contact. The present integrated system comprises a bilateral permanent magnet excited synchronous motor for generating a linear driving force; and a non-contact power feeding apparatus for receiving an electric power without any mechanical contact from the bilateral permanent magnet excited synchronous motor, wherein the bilateral permanent magnet excited synchronous motor is composed of a stator core with a long air-gap formed at one side, a stator motor windings inducing traveling magnetic fields in the stator core, stator transformer wires winding both flanks of the stator core, and a motor runner sliding longitudinally along the air-gap, and wherein the non-contact power feeding apparatus is composed of a secondary core, and secondary wires winding the secondary core. The present invention enables non-contact power supply by simply installing a long core at the part of a runner and winding wires around the long core and a stator transformer, therefore, this non-contact power feeding way reduces the cost of system manufacture and provides very clean transportation system.
