Described is a plasma switched organic electroluminescent display, which includes an electroluminescent part including a cathode layer, an electroluminescent layer on the cathode layer, and an anode layer on the electroluminescent layer, a first power supply unit connected electrically to the anode layer and disconnected electrically to the cathode layer so as to supply the electroluminescent layer with a first power, a plasma generating part generating a plasma wherein the plasma becomes contacted with the cathode layer, and a second power supply unit generating the plasma by supplying the plasma generating part with a second power, wherein the cathode layer is connected electrically to the first power supply unit through the plasma, thereby enabling to emit light by organic electroluminescent as well as drive the display by a low driving voltage using a plasma discharge as a switch.

Plasma switched organic electroluminescent display

Disclosed is a method of fabricating an organic electroluminescent display enabling to improve device characteristics and reliability by performing excimer laser annealing on a passivation layer locally. The present invention includes forming an anode layer, an organic electroluminescent layer, and a cathode layer successively on a transparent substrate, forming a passivation layer on the transparent substrate including the cathode layer, and performing heat treatment on the passivation layer locally.

Method of making organic electroluminescent display

Described is a method of fabricating an organic electroluminescent display (hereinafter abbreviated OELD) enabling to increase a throughput efficiency by carrying out a foregoing OELD process, dividing a large-scaled substrate, and carrying out a following OELD process in order. The present invention includes the steps of forming a first electrode layer on a large-scaled substrate, dividing the large-scaled substrate into a plurality of small substrates, forming an organic electroluminescent layer on the first electrode layer of at least one of the small substrates, and forming a second electrode layer on the organic electroluminescent layer.
