A washing machine includes a first housing, a second housing disposed on the first housing, a first tub included in the first housing, a second tub included in the second housing, a first drain path through which wash water from the first tub flows, a second drain path through which wash water from the second tub flows, a connector disposed at a portion where the first drain path and the second drain path are joined, and a third drain path through which the wash water introduced into the connector through the first drain path and the second drain path flows out from the connector. The connector is located at a position higher than a maximum water storage height of the first tub.

Washing machine

A washing machine comprises a hinge device including a cam member, a lever, and an elastic member, and the cam member comprises an outer circumference surface including a first section, a second section and a third section disposed between the first section and the second section having a curvature different from each other. The cam member is profiled to be disposed at a first position in which the door is automatically opened, a second position in which the door is automatically closed, and at a third position in which an external resultant force becomes 0 (zero), when the lever is in contact with each section. Therefore, it is possible to control a closing speed of the door and simplify the power transmission method by using the cam, reduce the material cost by reducing the number of parts, and secure the reliability of driving of the washing machine.

A water supply device includes a housing that has an inlet and an outlet, and an inflow chamber that is provided inside the housing and communicates with the inlet. A discharge chamber is provided inside the housing and communicates with the inflow chamber and the outlet. A buffer chamber is provided inside the housing and communicates with the discharge chamber, and a blocking rib extends from an inner side of the housing and is provided to partition the discharge chamber from the buffer chamber.

Water supply device and washing machine having the same

A washing machine includes a door and an auxiliary washing unit that may be readily fastened to each other by a locking unit for fastening the door and the auxiliary washing unit. The washing machine includes a main body in which an opening is formed, a door that opens and closes the opening, an auxiliary washing unit that is provided on an inner side of the door to form an auxiliary washing space, and a locking unit that locks the door and the auxiliary washing unit. Here, the locking unit may perform linear motion in one direction to lock or unlock the door and the auxiliary washing unit.

A washer dryer and method for controlling the same may improve a structure of air circulation and increase dehumidification efficiency, thereby reducing drying time. A cooler fan is operated to prevent overheating of a washer dryer in the drying course, which reduces faults of the washer dryer and thus reduces user inconvenience. Overheating of the washer dryer may be prevented in advance in the washing course, which maintains washing performance and prevents delay of cooling time, leading to increased drying time accuracy and thus user satisfaction. The cooler fan is disposed on the tub to vent the air in the dryer (dry air) outside the cabinet to allow high temperature and high humidity drying, thereby increasing drying performance. A hole disposed on the bottom of the dryer sucks cool air into the inside of the dryer from the outside, and air circulation rate and dehumidification efficiency may be increased.

Washer dryer and method for controlling the same

A clothing dryer having an improved structure of a drainage unit thereof, including: a body; a drum; a base that is disposed at a lower portion of the drum; a first water tub that is mounted on the base to collect condensate water generated when a drying operation is performed; and a plurality of drainage pipes that are combined with one side of the first water tub and cause the condensate water to move, wherein, in order to change a position at which the plurality of drainage pipes and the first water tub are combined with each other, the first water tub is combined with edges of the base so that at least a part of the first water tub is able to be exposed to an outside.

Clothing dryer

A clothing dryer and control method thereof is provided. A conventional dryness sensor may be used, without installation of a separate component, to detect breakage of a belt. Upon detection of belt breakage, the motor is stopped together with report of abnormality of the to reduce cost. A conventional temperature sensor may be used to maintain a proper surface temperature of a door of the clothing dryer, without installation of a separate component. Thereby, harm to a user due to rise in the surface temperature of the door may be prevented, and degradation of drying quality may be prevented. Furthermore, the pipe temperature of a compressor may be used to detect incorrect or broken wiring of the compressor. When incorrect or broken wiring of the compressor is detected, the compress is stopped together with report of to protect the product.

Clothing dryer and control method thereof

Disclosed herein are a clothes dryer and a control method thereof in which a drying time is adjusted according to wool content during a drying cycle of a wool course. Wool content of woolen textiles is judged by sensing a dryness of the woolen textiles during a drying cycle of a wool course, and a drying time is adjusted according to the wool content, thereby minimizing contraction or deformation of the woolen textiles while satisfying the range of a target dryness set by wool mark standards. Further, only a high-capacity heater is driven during the drying cycle of the wool course, thereby allowing an internal temperature of a rotary drum to keep the optimum temperature without contraction or deformation of the woolen textiles.
