A spark plug which includes an end at its combustion chamber end, and an end at its connecting end, as well as a housing and an insulator situated in the housing. The insulator has a longitudinal bore having a longitudinal axis, a center electrode situated in the longitudinal bore of the insulator, a first ground electrode which extends into the region of the longitudinal axis of the insulator, and a second ground electrode which is situated at a distance from the longitudinal axis of the insulator laterally next to the center electrode. The insulator has a front section, facing the first ground electrode, which has an end face. The insulator has an outside diameter d and an inside diameter c, d&#x2212;c, that is, the difference between outside diameter d and inside diameter c, in the front section of the insulator being not greater than 1.9 mm.

A spark plug is described having a partially cylindrical insulator element and a housing surrounding the insulator element on the side of a base part. The insulator element and the housing are connected with one another by at least one material bond and/or one friction-lock connection aligned in the radial direction. A compact spark plug can be produced using this type of connection. In particular, the diameter of the spark plug is smaller than the diameter of known spark plugs having the same characteristics.

A spark plug for an internal combustion engine comprising: a cylindrical metal tube; a rod-shaped central electrode within the cylindrical metal tube; a tubular insulator within which the rod-shaped central electrode is located, wherein the tubular insulator is arranged substantially centrally in and substantially coaxially with the cylindrical metal tube; and at least two ground electrodes affixed to the cylindrical metal tube, wherein the at least two ground electrodes are each bent toward the metal electrode, wherein each ground electrode together with the central electrode forms a different member of a set of spark paths comprising: (i) an air sliding spark path, (ii) and air-air sliding spark path and (iii) an air spark path.

A spark plug for internal combustion engines ensures the formation of two spark paths. These two spark paths are a pure air spark which jumps over from electrode to electrode, and a creepage spark which emerges from the central electrode, creeps along the insulator and then jumps over at the point at the smallest distance between the insulator and the earth electrode. The spark plug includes a cylindrical metal tube which forms a housing and in which the central electrode is arranged, surrounded centrally by an insulator. The earth electrodes mounted on the metal tube are partially bent so that an obtuse bending angle of the bent-over part with respect to the part of the earth electrode which extends in the direction of the rotationally symmetrical longitudinal axis is produced.

The connection conductor leading from the connection end of a sensor element towards the end of the sensor remote from the gas to be measured is a metallic connection part (17) that is rigid against torsion and passes through the aperture (16) of the closure shell (14) where it is sealed by a bead-like element (41) having a tubular extension (48), beyond which the connection conductor has an axial internal connection surface for a cable (19). A sleeve (51) of yielding material (51) covers the adjoining ends of the cable and of the connecting conductor and an overlay shell (52) compresses the sleeve to make a tight seal, both around the cable and against the tubular end of the bead (41). The overlay shell snaps on to the tubular extension of the bead by interlocking annular sawtooth ridges.

The invention relates to a subpressure limiter for a fuel injection system of a mixture compressing, externally ignited internal combustion engine wherein the apportioned fuel quantity is injected into the suction tube containing an arbitrarily actuatable throttle valve, and wherein the suction tube sections upstream and downstream of the throttle valve are interconnected by means of a bypass whose cross-sectional area is variable by means of the subpressure limiter and features a pressure dependent control element responding to the subpressure prevailing within the suction tube section downstream of the throttle valve during an overrunning operation.
