The present invention relates to the sample preparation of nucleic acids for diagnostic purposes. More precisely, the invention provides a process for simultaneously isolating at least a first and a second target nucleic acid from a plurality of different types of fluid samples and optionally amplifying said isolated nucleic acids in a simultaneous manner.

Generic sample preparation

Methods for detecting HAV in a biological sample are provided, comprising amplifying a target nucleic acid comprising the sequence of HAV in a reaction mixture. The reaction mixture comprises a biological sample which may contain the target nucleic acid and set of oligonucleotides. The invention also provides kits for the detection of HAV.

HAV detection

A method of simultaneously amplifying genotypes 1, 2, 3 and/or 4 of HEV is disclosed comprising amplifying the genotypes 1, 2, 3 and/or 4 of HEV with one single none-degenerate forward primer partially overlapping the 5'UTR region of HEV and at least one reverse primer. Also disclosed are related methods comprising a probe, and kits for the detection of genotypes 1, 2, 3 and/or 4 of HEV.

HEV Assay

The present invention is in the field of in-vitro diagnostics. Within this field, it provides the amplification of at least a first target nucleic acid that may be present in at least one fluid sample using an internal control nucleic acid for qualitative and/or quantitative purposes and at least one external control nucleic acid in an aqueous buffer. It further provides an analytical system comprising an internal control nucleic acid for qualitative and/or quantitative purposes and at least one external control nucleic acid in an aqueous buffer.

HEV assay

The present invention relates to a method of amplifying a first and a second target nucleic acid in separate reaction receptacles, wherein said reaction receptacles comprise a solution comprising amplification reagents and oligonucleotides specific for said first or said second target nucleic acid, wherein said solution is the same for amplifying said first target nucleic acid and said second target nucleic acid.

Generic PCR

A method of determining a pressure parameter of a plant sample () comprises the steps of subjecting the plant sample () to a clamp pressure (p) created with a clamp device (), measuring at least one pressure response value (p) of the plant sample (), which depends on the clamp pressure (P)/and determining the pressure parameter on the basis of the at least one pressure response value (p), wherein the clamp pressure (p) is adjusted, such that the plant sample () has a viscoelastic pressure response to the clamp pressure (p). Furthermore, an apparatus () for determining a pressure parameter of a plant sample () is described.
