The invention relates to an antenna system () comprising several antennae (), which can be connected to at least two receivers (') via a combination unit. According to the invention, a signal processing unit () for evaluating the output signals of the receivers (&#x2032;) and a control unit () are provided, by means of which at least one of the antennae can be switched to transmit mode in order to conduct a self-test. These antennae () transmit test signals with a test frequency that is pre-set by a first receiver (). Said test signals are fed into at least one other antenna () that, via the combination device (), is connected to the second receiver (&#x2032;) whose frequency is tuned to the test frequency. In order to conduct the self-test, the receiving levels of the second receiver (&#x2032;) are recorded as actual values and compared with predetermined set values. This results in the realization of an antenna system in which a function check is conducted with the least possible amount of complexity.

Antenna system

An antenna for a keyless entry radiofrequency system of a vehicle has an antenna cable, a conductor of which extends through an opening in the vehicle body with a free end outside said vehicle to prevent shielding of the free end by the vehicle body.

Antenna for a central locking system of an automotive vehicle

An antenna, especially for use with mobile radios, that is mounted in an opening of a motor vehicle. The antenna includes at least one radiator with connecting line and the radiator is mounted in the opening behind a nontransparent, nonconductive covering. In one embodiment the radiator is configured as a monopole with matched balancing antennae that are strip conductors laid out on a printed circuit board attached to a ventilation structure mounted in an opening behind a covering nonconductive bumper.

Vehicle antenna

In an antenna having at least one vertical radiator, preferably a vehicle mobile radiotelephone antenna, the at least one vertical radiator is connected to the ground on one end and to a vertical conductor fed against the ground on the other end by means of an impedance transforming device having an electrical length which is approximately one fourth the mean operating wavelength or an uneven multiple thereof. Said structure makes it possible for the at least one vertical radiator to have a uniform current occupancy over its entire length. By cooperating with the vertical conductor fed in a co-radiating manner, said occupancy exhibits high radiation power comparable to that of a &lgr;/4 monopole antenna despite the fact that the at least one vertical radiator has a smaller length which is approximately {fraction (1/10)} of the mean operating wavelength. The invention also describes advantageous embodiments or configurations of said antenna and practical arrangements of said antenna in vehicles.

Antenna with at least one vertical radiator

The present invention relates to a mobile transmission antenna ( ) for vehicles that comprises a monopole ( ) having a reflector ( ) associated therewith. The unit thus formed is mounted on or adjacent to the inner surface of members of the vehicle which are permissive to electromagnetic waves, mainly the vehicle windows ( ), so that said reflector ( ) is directed towards the inside of the vehicle as seen from the monopole ( ). During a transmission, this configuration reduces simply and economically to a harmless level the incident radiation of high-frequency energy that penetrates into the vehicle. The antenna is further protected from potential unauthorised handling from the outside and does not look like an radio-telephone antenna. In a particularly advantageous embodiment of the present invention, the radio-telephone antenna ( ) is integrated with a device intended for other purposes, mainly with the third stoplight ( ) mounted on the rear window ( ) of the vehicle.

Mobile transmission antenna

The invention relates to an antenna device having at least one antenna structure ( ) fixed to a vehicle window ( ). The base point terminal connections of each antenna have contact points ( ) which form a termination panel ( ) surrounded by a base ( ) arranged on the vehicle window ( ) in which a radio frequency device ( ) can be removably fixed, whose connection terminals maybe connected to contact points ( ) without using any connecting lines.
