A method for closing one side of a hollow fiber membrane including a lumen and a wall radially enveloping the lumen, wherein the wall includes an inner textile layer, wherein a portion of a low viscosity resin flows at least partially through a face of the hollow fiber membrane into an end portion of the hollow fiber membrane and closes the end portion with an outer free surface and is being cured by UV light. In order to reduce a propensity for blocking between the end portions of the hollow fiber membranes it is proposed that that the portion is fed in its entirety by positive pressure through the face into the end portion and cured after a time period of 5 seconds at the most, and that the portion is arranged exclusively within the hollow fiber membrane after curing.

Hollow fiber membrane and method for closing the same

A membrane filter for submerged operation for filtering a liquid, comprising membrane elements and geyser elements for flushing the membrane elements in pulses using a gas, each membrane element having: hollow fiber membranes secured in a base element, each hollow fiber membrane having a lumen into which a liquid permeate is filterable out of the liquid, a permeate collection cavity connected to the lumens of the hollow fiber membranes for collecting the permeate from the hollow fiber membranes, a permeate outlet for discharging the permeate out of the permeate collection chamber, and a tubular housing enveloping the hollow fiber membranes of the membrane elements and penetrated by the permeate outlet, wherein the geyser elements are installed below the membrane elements, and each of the geyser elements having: a gas collection cavity and an outlet device for discharging the gas in pulses upwards out of the gas collection cavity.

Membrane filter and filtering method

A membrane filter configured to filter a liquid, the membrane filter including a base element including at least one membrane carrier that is externally flowable by the liquid and a gas; hollow fiber membranes respectively including lumen and attached at a top of the at least one membrane carrier wherein a liquid permeate is filterable from the liquid into the lumen; a one piece extruded circumferentially closed pipe that envelops the hollow fiber membranes; a gas inlet configured to let gas into a bottom of the membrane filter; at least one permeate collection cavity included in the base element and connected with the lumen and configured to collect the liquid permeate from the hollow fiber membranes; a permeate outlet included in the base element and configured to drain the liquid permeate from the at least one permeate collection cavity laterally from the base element.

A membrane filter for submerged operation for filtering a liquid, the membrane filter including membrane units and a gas distribution system for distributing a gas to the membrane units and flushing the membrane units, wherein each of the membrane units includes a respective gas inlet opening and at least one membrane element, the at least one membrane element including membranes for filtering a liquid permeate from the liquid, a permeate collection cavity connected to permeate sides of the membranes, and a permeate outlet configured to drain the permeate from the permeate collection cavity, the gas distribution system including exactly one gas outlet for each of the membrane units, the exactly one gas outlet configured to exhaust the gas from the gas distribution system into a respective gas inlet opening of each of the membrane units.

A method the filtering a liquid in a membrane filter immersed in the liquid and including membranes, the method including introducing a gas through a gas introduction device into a base of the membrane filter in successive pulses so that the membranes are cleaned wherein the gas introduction device includes a liquid flow channel which vertically penetrates a gas collection cavity and admits the liquid into a bottom of membrane filter; and initially filling a gas volume arranged below a free surface of the liquid and defined in a downward direction by an enclosed level of the liquid with the gas wherein the gas simultaneously displaces the liquid top down from a gas lifting channel until the enclosed level of the liquid drops below an inlet cross section of a gas flow out channel.

Method for filtering a liquid and filter device

A method for introducing a gas into a liquid, the method including filling a gas volume enclosed below a free surface of the liquid and defined in a downward direction by an enclosed level of the liquid with the gas in sequential pulses wherein the gas simultaneously displaces the liquid top down from a gas lifting channel until the enclosed level of the liquid drops below an inlet cross section of a gas flow out channel; subsequently flowing the gas out of the gas volume downward through the gas lifting channel, a deflection portion adjoining at a bottom of the gas lifting channel, in upward direction through the inlet cross section and through the gas flow out channel adjoining the inlet cross section at a top to the free surface.

Method for introducing a gas and gas introducing device

A membrane filter for filtering a liquid to be filtered, having a downwardly open base element through which flow can pass and which has a tubular shell and precisely one membrane carrier arranged therein, wherein the membrane carrier is connected to the shell by way of at least one anchoring point, having hollow fiber-type membranes fastened at the top in the membrane carrier, having a circumferentially closed pipe which, adjoining the top of the shell of the base element, surrounds the hollow fiber-type membranes, having a gas inlet into the base element, having at least one permeate collecting chamber, having at least one permeate outlet, and having at least one downwardly open flow chamber between the shell and the membrane carrier, which flow chamber has an outlet at the top, wherein the at least one flow chamber, in every horizontal section, adjoins both the shell and the membrane carrier.

A method for producing a membrane filter for filtering a liquid, wherein the membrane filter includes at least one header and at least one membrane block that is connected with the at least one header, wherein the at least one membrane block includes multiple rows of hollow fiber membranes arranged substantially parallel to one another, wherein each of the hollow fiber membranes includes an open end that connects to a permeate chamber in the at least one header and a filtrate is pullable from the permeate chamber during operation of the membrane filter, wherein the at least one membrane block includes a spacer at a distance from the open end, wherein the spacer connects the hollow fiber membranes with one another and keeps them apart, and wherein the hollow fiber membranes are enveloped by a seal layer between the spacer and the open end.

Method for producing a membrane filter

A membrane filter for filtering a liquid to be filtered, the membrane filter including at least one membrane carrier to which membranes are fixed, the membranes allowing a liquid permeate to be filtered out of the liquid, and the membrane carrier includes a permeate collecting chamber to which the membranes are connected in an open manner on the permeate side, and also comprises a permeate outlet for the discharge of the permeate out of the permeate collecting chamber; a gas distribution system which is arranged below the at least one membrane carrier and which has at least one downwardly open and upwardly closed tub which has a wall with downwardly open vertical slots for the distribution of a gas into the liquid to be filtered, at least one gas inlet leading into the gas distribution system. The invention also relates to a method for filtering a liquid.

A device for gassing a liquid, particularly for membrane facilities used in immersion operation, has a gas supply channel and at least one gas lance from which a gas flow exits in gassing operation. The gas lance is connected to the gas supply channel via at least one connection channel including a first mouth area on the side of the gas lance and a second mouth area on the side of the gas supply channel and generating as a throttle a flow pressure loss of the gas flow entering the gas lance. Below the first mouth area an extension section is provided, which adjoins the gas lance and has an opening below the first mouth area.
