A bone plate for reconstruction or trauma treatment of a bone which comprises first and second ends, a first contact surface for contacting and securing on a first region of the bone, and a plurality of receiving mechanism each having at least one opening for receiving at least one securing element. At least two adjacent wings extend at least from the first end of the main section, each has a second contact surface for contacting and securing to a second region of the bone, as well as at least one receiving mechanism having at least one opening for each receiving a securing element. A minimum bending stiffness of the main section, in relation to an axis (x) running perpendicular to the first contact surface, is greater than the minimum bending stiffnesses of the wings, but smaller than the total minimum bending stiffness of all wings extending from the first end.

Bone plate, surgical sets and reconstruction sets

A bone screw comprising a first end having an engagement contour for engaging with a tool to facilitate insertion or removal of the bone screw, and a blocking element is arranged at a second end thereof. The blocking element is provided with a circumferential outside surface which comprises at least one clamping surface which&#x2014;when viewed in an azimuth plane perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the bone screw&#x2014;widens outwardly in a wedge-shaped manner away from the longitudinal axis. The bone plate includes at least one opening which is at least partially delimited by an inside wall having an inner contour for receiving and fixing the blocking element of the bone screw. At least one bone screw and at least one bone plate together form a surgical set.

Bone screws and surgical sets comprising bone screws

A bone plate () with at least one receiving opening () for a bone screw () with a screw head (), wherein the receiving opening () has a compression area () with a compression contour () and a blocking area () with a blocking contour (). The compression contour is designed such that rotation of the bone screw in its one screwing-in direction (E) causes lateral movement of the bone screw toward the blocking area (). The compression contour () is designed as an engagement contour (), such that lateral movement is generated by engagement between the engagement contour () and a mating contour () on the screw head or tool. A surgical kit containing at least one such bone plate () and at least one bone screw with a screw head (), which bone screw is insertable into the receiving openings of the bone plate () is also disclosed.

Bone plate and surgical kit for fixing bone fragments

A locking element and a corresponding housing are disclosed, for the locking of the locking element in housing. The locking element includes a locking piece, for example a head, with a peripheral outer surface, running essentially in the direction of a longitudinal axis with at least one clamping surface extending outwards from the longitudinal axis in the form of a wedge, in order to lock the locking piece on the locking element with a corresponding inner contour of the housing. The peripheral outer surface is at least approximately spherical, parabolic, elliptical or hyperbolic in embodiment, viewed in the direction of the longitudinal axis in the region of the clamping surface, which is also true for the inner contour of the housing in the region of the recess, whereby the recess cooperating with the clamping surface can also be cylindrical.

The invention relates to a support () for receiving at least one surgical object, in particular at least one bone screw (), in a receiving position (A). Said support () comprises at least one supporting surface () which is designed and arranged in such a manner that a supporting area () of the object can be brought into contact with the supporting surface () in the receiving position (A). Said object can be removed from the receiving position (A) in the direction of removal (E). The direction of removal (E) extends at an angle of a maximum 45&#xb0;, preferably a maximum 20&#xb0;, more particularly essentially parallel to a longitudinal axis (L) of the object housed in the receiving position (A). The invention also relates to a mounting () for fixing a bone plate support () for a bone plate () to a base plate (), a bone plate support () and a system comprising a mounting () and a unit () from a bone plate support () and a bone plate ().

Support and mounting for surgical objects

A thread-forming screw includes a screw end, a shank, and a thread-free head, wherein the shank is provided at least partly with a thread and has a pre-forming region, an intermediate region, which is arranged to follow the pre-forming region, and an anchoring region, which is arranged so as to adjoin the intermediate region and below the head, wherein the pre-forming region is arranged so as to directly adjoin the screw end.

A bone plate has at least one plate hole whose hole axis runs obliquely in relation to the underside of the plate. The hole axis has an elevation angle (&#x3b5;) in relation to the plane of the underside of the plate which is different from 90&#xb0;, and in which plate the upper face of the plate runs at least partially not parallel to the underside of the plate, at least in the area around the plate hole, but instead runs at a right angle to the hole axis. The plate hole is designed such that a bone screw, which is screwed into the plate hole, can be blocked in the plate hole at an angle selected from a predefined angle range around the elevation angle (&#x3b5;) of the hole axis of the plate hole only by cooperation of the plate hole with the bone screw, without other additional auxiliary means.
