The invention relates to an insulation insert that can be inserted into a plug-in connector housing () of a plug-in connector (), wherein in the insulation insert (), at least one contacting element for electrically contacting a conductor core of a cable () to be connected may be provided, wherein the insulation insert () is provided in one area with a conductive coating, wherein the coated area forms a shielding element () that can be electrically contacted with a shielding braid of the cable () to be connected and at the same time with the plug-in connector housing (), and wherein the insulation insert () and the shielding element () are integrally formed in.

The invention discloses an insulating body () which is provided for receiving and/or electrically contacting at least one conductor of a cable to be connected or for fitting onto a printed circuit board, the insulating body () being adapted to be introduced into a dedicated chamber of a plug connector housing and having at least one recess () for at least one contact element () which can be connected to the individual conductor of the cable to be connected or to a conductor track of the printed circuit board, and including a shielding element () by which the contact element is electromagnetically shielded, the insulating body () being formed of at least one first component () and one second component (), the first component () containing a doping so that the surface of the first component () can be provided with a conducting coating () by an electroplating process, the shielding element () being formed from the conducting coating of the first component ().

An insulating body, which can be inserted into a chamber of a plug-in connector housing intended for this purpose, has at least one recess for at least one contact element for connecting to a conductor of a cable or a conducting path of a printed circuit board, and a shielding element for electromagnetically shielding the contact element, wherein the insulating body is formed from at least a first component and a second component, wherein the insulating body contains a cavity having a surface formed from the first component, and wherein the first component contains a dopant through which the surface is provided with a conductive coating forming the shielding element.
