The package includes a substantially straight, light-tight end cover for each end surface of the roll, and a light-tight flexible circumferential cover secured to the end covers and to the coiled strip material and covering the outermost convolution thereof. Each end cover includes a flexible disc and a rigid disc. The flexible discs are positioned between the end surfaces of the roll and the rigid discs.

A cap with an induction seal closure for sealing the pouring opening of a container, the induction seal closure comprising a polymer sealing layer (27) capable of being heat-sealed to the top surface of the pouring opening of the container, an aluminum foil (22) for heat-sealing said sealing layer by inductive heating of the aluminum, a first releasing layer (25) between said aluminum foil and said sealing layer and a second releasing layer (21) between said aluminum foil and the top wall of said cap, the releasing power of said second releasing layer (21) being greater than that of said first one (25) so that upon removal of the cap from a sealed container the aluminum foil (22) remains adherant to the sealed container instead of to the cap while yet being easily peelable from the container as a consequence of the presence of said first releasing layer (25).

A daylight loading film sheet package has a stack of film sheets enclosed within a wrapper having front and rear panels covering the front and rear faces of the film stack and projecting side extensions on at least three sides of the panels which are folded into contacting relation and adhered together in close proximity to the corresponding sides of the stack to cover such stack sides. One of the wrapper panels has a sheet-dispensing opening therein with one edge adjacent one stack side which is generally coextensive in length with that stack side, such opening extending from the edge into the panel to permit an outermost film sheet to be accessed and withdrawn from the stack therethrough. The dispensing opening is light-tightly covered by a flexible sheet closure attached at one end to the other wrapper panel adjacent the one stack side and overlying the opening with its side margins adhered to the folded side extensions of the panel containing the opening, the sheet closure being adhered to the panel beyond the opening and terminating in a free end to facilitate its stripping removal from the opening.

A strip of light sensitive material wound in a coil onto an open-ended core 2 is package in tearable light tight wrapping material 6, 7 which protects the rolled web while leaving an exterior end 3 of the coil exteriorly accessible. The light tight wrapping material 6, 7 is tearable by pulling on the exterior end 3 to commence unwinding of the coil from the core. The wrapping material is formed with a circumferential portion 6 and two end flange portions 7 which latter have their inner margins 11 tucked within the open ends of the core 2 and light-tightly sealed thereto.

A film sheet package comprising a stack of film sheets wrapped in a light-tight flexible wrapper sleeve (33), one end of the sleeve having a closed flap (26) and the opposite end of the sleeve having an open flap (27) that is folded to light-tightly close the package, wherein the side ends (53, 54) of the open flap are tucked in, the top end (56) of said flap is folded back at least once, but not so far that said top end, or a portion thereof, becomes wedged between the bottom end of said flap and the corresponding rear face of the package as said flap is folded on the top face of the package, and that said flap is fixed on said top face through rupturable sealing means (28).

A light-proof tearable sheathing for a pack of photographic or X-ray sheet films insertable in a film supply magazine of a film cassette-loading device includes a winding flap which is wound on a shaft of the winding device to pull the sheathing from the film pack, a folded connection flap opposite to the winding flap and glued to the sheathing by a glue tape, and a tearing tape provided between two spaced strips of the glue tape and tearable from the sheathing to open the latter for the removal therefrom of individual film sheets.
