An electronic pedal assembly may include a pedal platform and at least one force sensor configured to sense a force applied to the pedal platform. One or more control devices may be communicatively coupled to the force sensor(s) and configured to determine a throttle output for controlling the throttle condition of the vehicle based at least in part on the force applied to the pedal platform and based at least in part on an operating condition associated with operating the vehicle. In some embodiments, the force sensor(s) may be configured to measure a force distribution on the pedal platform. The control device(s) may monitor the force distribution and adjust an operation of the vehicle based on the force distribution. A pedal device is provided. For the actuation, a pedal element is deflectable in relation to a basic element. A bearing element is accommodated and rotatably mounted in at least one bearing shell on the basic element. The bearing element includes at least one first bearing sub-element and a second bearing sub-element which is movable in relation to the first bearing sub-element. The first bearing sub-element is connected to the pedal element. At least one resetting element acts on the second bearing sub-element. The first and second bearing sub-elements are arranged with respect to each other in such a manner that they are supported against each other at least one support point. When the pedal element is detected counter to the action of the resetting element, an outwardly directed press-on force arises on the bearing sub-elements such that the latter are pressed onto the bearing shell.

A gear arrangement has two turntables nested or arranged concentrically in one another, and interconnected with one another via a swashplate. The gear arrangement preferably is used for adjusting the angle of rotation of the camshaft relative to the angle of rotation of the crankshaft of an internal combustion engine to affect the control times of the charge-cycle valves of the engine. The swashplate is connected with the first turntable formed as a camshaft gear via at least one pin, and the swashplate is connected with the camshaft via the second turntable by means of a gear ring.

A control device and method for adjusting the angular velocity ratio (&#x3c9;(t)/&#x3c9;(t)) between a camshaft and a crankshaft is provided. Various control devices and methods for rotating the camshaft relative to the crankshaft provide a drive which may advance and retard the camshaft in comparison to the crankshaft. Previous systems have the disadvantage that either two drives in different directions are necessary for each actuation direction or the drive must have right-handed rotation and left-handed rotation. In the control device and the method according to the invention, the advancing of the camshaft is achieved by a drive in the running direction of the camshaft and the retarding is achieved by a braking device. It has been shown to be especially advantageous if an electric motor in two quadrant mode is used as the drive, which may then also be used as the braking device. Such a control device and method are required for setting the control times in internal combustion engines.
