A lighting device for a motor vehicle, in particular a high-definition headlamp, includes an imaging component that has an active surface on which light-emitting diodes or laser diodes are arranged in a matrix to generate pixels in a light distribution in a targeted manner, and a projection lens with which the light emitted from the active surface is projected outward from the motor vehicle when the lighting device is in operation. The lighting device is designed to switch the projection lens from a first setting to a second and from the second setting to the first. The projection lens has a first focal length in the first setting, and a second focal length in the second setting, which is greater than the first focal length.

An illumination arrangement includes a control unit, an illumination module connected to the control unit via a bidirectional first channel that features an LED matrix for generating light, and a peripheral module connected to the illumination module via a second channel. The control unit can be used to generate data for controlling the illumination module and for controlling the peripheral module. The data for controlling the illumination module and data for controlling the peripheral module can be transferred to the illumination module via the first channel. The data for controlling the peripheral module can be transferred from the illumination module to the peripheral module via the second channel. The second channel is a bidirectional channel via which data can be transferred from the peripheral module to the illumination module and, after being received by the illumination module, can be transferred to the control unit via the first channel.

Illumination arrangement with an illumination module and a peripheral module connected to the same

An illumination arrangement is provided with a control unit, an illumination module including an LED matrix for the generation of light, and a peripheral module connected to the illumination module. The control unit generates data for controlling the illumination module and for controlling the peripheral module. The data for controlling the illumination module and for controlling the peripheral module is transferred to the illumination module. The data for controlling the peripheral module is transferred to the peripheral module. An RGB signal is generated by the control unit for generating a light pattern by the illumination module, and is transferred to the illumination module. The image data of the RGB signal is the data for controlling the illumination module or at least forms a part of the data for controlling the illumination module, and the RGB signal has a range not used for image data.

Illumination arrangement with a control unit, with an illumination module and a peripheral module

An illumination device for vehicles is provided, and includes a headlamp with an imaging unit for generating a multitude of light pixels that can be actuated individually. The headlamp also includes a lens unit containing a lens arrangement with a number of lenses arranged in a fixed manner to each other. The light pixels of the imaging unit can be mapped to focused light spots at a specified distance. The headlamp also includes an actuator unit for actuating the imaging unit. A first lens unit of a first headlamp is different from a second lens unit of a second headlamp such that the light pixels of the imaging unit of the first headlamp and the second headlamp are mapped to be focused at different distances.

An illumination apparatus for a motor vehicle having at least one light source from which light is emitted when the illumination apparatus is in operation, a collimation optical system through which, when the illumination apparatus is in operation, the light emitted from the at least one light source passes at least in part, and a secondary optical system with at least one array of cylinder lenses arranged adjacently on a face, through which, when the illumination apparatus is in operation, the light emitted by the collimation optical system passes at least in part, wherein the secondary optical system has an entry face and an exit face for the light emitting from the collimation optical system. The secondary optical system being arranged such that the exit face of the secondary optical system forms an angle unequal to 0° or unequal to 180° with the vertical when the illumination apparatus is installed.

Illumination apparatus for a motor vehicle

A headlamp for vehicles is provided that has an LED light source containing numerous light pixels. The headlamp also includes an optics unit in front of the light source in the main beam direction (H) with which the light pixels are mapped onto a predefined light distribution (LV, LV, LV', LV″). The headlamp also includes a sensor unit for determining at least one vehicle state variable, an adjustment unit for adjusting a part of the headlamp, and a control unit for controlling the light pixels and the adjustment unit. The LED adjustment unit moves the light source in a linear direction transverse to an optical axis (A) of the optics unit, and/or pivoted about the optical axis (A) of the optics unit, from a starting position to an intermediate position and back, on the basis of a change in the vehicle state variable.

A lighting arrangement with a control unit and two LED lighting modules, each comprising an LED matrix. Control information, including an image signal for generating a light image, can be generated with the control unit for each lighting module, and the light image can be generated with the LED matrix of each lighting module, which the control unit has generated for this lighting module. The control unit is connected to the lighting modules for the transmission of the image signals. The first lighting module has a processing unit and a first interface via which the information for the lighting modules can be extracted from the signal generated by the control unit. The processing unit provides the information intended for the second lighting module at the first interface of the first lighting module, and wherein the second lighting module is connected to the first interface of the first lighting module.

A method is provided for operating an illuminating device for a vehicle that features means of influencing light or a plurality of light sources for the targeted generation of pixels of a light distribution. In the event of failure of at least one pixel of the light distribution caused by a defect in one section of the means of influencing light or by malfunction of one of the light sources, at least one non-defective section of the means of influencing light or at least one non-malfunctioning light source is actuated in order to correct the light distribution. The at least one non-defective section of the means of influencing light or at least one of the non-malfunctioning light sources is actuated in such a way that at least one pixel of the light distribution adjacent to the at least one malfunctioning pixel is reduced in its brightness.

A lighting device for vehicles with a multitude of light modules, each comprising a light source arranged on a substrate and a lens arranged at a distance to the light source for the creation of a given light distribution. A fixed side light module and a fixed main light module are provided as a light module. The side light module has an asymmetric lens, so that a light beam radiated by the side light module creates a side light distribution extending a main light distribution created by the main light module in the lateral direction.
