The present invention relates to a thermoplastic polyurethane obtainable or obtained by the conversion of at least a polyisocyanate composition, propane-1,3-diol as chain extender and a polyol composition, wherein no further chain extender is used aside from propane-1,3-diol, to a process for preparing such a thermoplastic polyurethane, and to the use of such a polyurethane for production of injection molded products, extrusion products, films and shaped bodies.

The present invention relates to thermoplastic polyurethanes obtainable or obtained by reaction of at least one polyisocyanate composition which comprises 4,4'-MDI and at least one further polyisocyanate, at least one chain extender of general formula (I) and at least one polyol composition. The present invention further relates to a production process for such thermoplastic polyurethanes and to the use of a thermoplastic polyurethane according to the invention or of a thermoplastic polyurethane obtainable or obtained by a process according to the invention for producing extrusion products, films and molded articles.

Thermoplastic polyurethane

The present invention relates to a process for producing a thermoplastic polyurethane reacting at least one thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU-1) or a polyurethane mixture comprising a thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU-1) with at least one compound (V1) comprising two hydroxyl groups to obtain a mixture (G-a) comprising a thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU-2) and the reaction of the mixture (G-a) with a mixture (G-b) comprising an isocyanate composition (ZI) comprising at least one diisocyanate and optionally and a polyol composition (ZP) comprising at least one polyol (P2) to obtain a thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU target), wherein the proportion of the employed components (ZI) and (ZP) is matched to the hard segment content of the employed thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU-1), (V1) and the hard segment content of the thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU target). The invention further relates to a thermoplastic polyurethane obtained or obtainable by such a process and to the use thereof for producing extruded, injection molded and pressed articles as well as foams, cable sheathings, hoses, profiles, drive belts, fibers, nonwovens, films, moldings, soles, sporting goods, shoes, plugs, housings, damping elements for the electricals industry, automotive industry, mechanical engineering, 3D printing, medicine and consumer goods.

Thermoplastic polyurethane from recycled raw materials

The present invention relates to thermoplastic polyurethanes obtainable or obtained by a process comprising the reaction of a thermoplastic polyester (PE-1) with a diol (D1) to give a composition (Z1) comprising a polyester (PE-2), and the reaction of the composition (Z1) obtained in step (i) with an isocyanate composition (I1) comprising at least one polyisocyanate, and with a polyol composition (P1), where the polyol composition (P1) comprises at least one polycarbonate polyol (PC1), and also to a process for the production of the thermoplastic polyurethane. The present invention further relates to a composition comprising a thermoplastic polyurethane of the invention and at least one flame retardant. The present invention also relates to the use of this thermoplastic polyurethane for the production of cable sheathing, and also to films, moldings, rollers, fibers, automobile cladding, hoses, cable plugs, folding bellows, drag cables, cable sheathing, gaskets, belts or damping elements comprising this thermoplastic polyurethane.

Aging-resistant TPU

A polyurethane, in particular a thermoplastic polyurethane, is obtainable or obtained by reacting at least a polyisocyanate composition and a polyol composition. The polyol composition contains at least one polyester diol or polyether diol, having a number-average molecular weight in the range from 500 to 3000 g/mol, and at least one polysiloxane having two terminal isocyanate-reactive functionalities selected from a thio group, a hydroxyl group, and an amino group. A process can be used for preparing this polyurethane, and a molded body containing the polyurethane is useful. Foam beads based on polyurethane can be obtained or obtainable from the polyurethane, and a process can be used for producing foam beads. Corresponding bead foams are useful.

A thermoplastic polyurethane can be obtained by a process involving a reaction of a thermoplastic polyester (PE-1) with a diamine (D1), to obtain a composition (Z1) containing an amide (PA-1), and a reaction of the obtained composition (Z1) with an isocyanate composition (I1), containing at least one polyisocyanate, and a polyol composition (P1). The diamine (D1) has a molecular weight in the range from 50 g/mol to 700 g/mol. A process can produce such a thermoplastic polyurethane, and shaped articles can be made containing the thermoplastic polyurethane.

The present invention relates to thermoplastic polyurethanes obtainable or obtained by reaction of at least one polyisocyanate composition, at least one chain extender (KV1) of general formula (I) and one further chain extender (KV2) selected from the group consisting of compounds having at least two isocyanate-reactive groups having a molecular weight of &#x3c;500 g/mol, and at least one polyol composition. The present invention further relates to a production process for such thermoplastic polyurethanes and to the use of a thermoplastic polyurethane according to the invention or of a thermoplastic polyurethane obtainable or obtained by a process according to the invention for producing extrusion products, films and molded articles.

The present invention relates to a process for producing a diblock copolymer comprising the reaction of at least one aromatic polyester having a melting point in the range from 160&#xb0; C. to 350&#xb0; C. and at least one polymer diol having a melting point of less than 100&#xb0; C. at a temperature of greater than 200&#xb0; C. to obtain a mixture (G-a); and the reaction of the mixture (G-a) with at least one diisocyanate, wherein the diisocyanate is employed in a molar amount of at least 0.9 based on the alcohol groups of the polymer diols.
