A method for determining a p-V characteristic of at least one wheel brake cylinder of a brake system of a vehicle. The method includes: increasing a pressure prevailing in the wheel brake cylinder during a measurement time interval, wherein a volume variable that reflects a present volume in the wheel brake cylinder, and a pressure variable that reflects a present pressure in the wheel brake cylinder, are determined at least once during the measurement time interval, and setting the p-V characteristic of the wheel brake cylinder taking into consideration the volume variable and the pressure variable. Before the measurement time interval, during a pressure increase interval, a pressure exerted on the closed wheel inlet valve and/or the closed isolating valve is increased with an average pressure build-up gradient greater than or equal to 50 bar/second up to a limit pressure of greater than or equal to 25 bar.

Wheel brakes of one vehicle axle of a dual-circuit hydraulic-power vehicle brake system for an electric or hybrid vehicle are connected to one brake circuit. Brake pressure is applied by a power brake-pressure generator to the two brake circuits with a time offset. It is thereby possible to compensate for a deceleration effect of an electric motor of the vehicle, which is operated as a generator during a braking.

A method for controlling a brake system. The brake system includes an actuating device, a master brake cylinder, a brake circuit, a wheel brake, and a brake pressure generator. The brake pressure generator and the master brake cylinder are capable of being contacted, parallel to one another, to the brake circuit. A pressure generator control valve controls a first pressure medium connection between the brake pressure generator and the brake circuit. A brake circuit control valve controls a second pressure medium connection between the brake circuit and the master brake cylinder. An electronically slip-controllable power braking system for a motor vehicle, in which a controllably drivable pressure generator supplies multiple brake circuits connected in parallel to one another with pressure medium under brake pressure. Each of the brake circuits are separable through existing first control valves from the pressure generator and include second control valves that are connected downstream from the first control valves to control the brake pressure in the wheel brakes, which are connected with the brake circuits. An electronic control unit in the brake circuits has three devices, the third device puts the first control valve of a brake circuit into a passage position if a leakage is established downstream from the second control valve in this brake circuit and if it is established that the pressure generated by the pressure generator has at least approximately reached or exceeded a pressure limit of the first control valve.

A method for operating a brake system. A brake request signal is generated, and a setpoint brake pressure required in an active circuit is ascertained. An actual brake pressure is set according to the setpoint brake pressure. A wheel brake actuated by the active circuit is hydraulically decoupled from the pressure generation device by closing an isolation valve, which is situated between the pressure generation device and the wheel brake, the isolation valve is preloaded to a closed state counter to an inflow direction of a volume flow into a brake-side section between the isolation valve and the wheel brake. A hydraulic recoupling of the wheel brake takes place by opening the isolation valve in that the actual brake pressure is set according to the setpoint brake pressure and an opening force is simultaneously applied to the isolation valve such that a compensation of a closing force takes place.

A magnetic valve includes a valve component and a valve body that engages around a region of the valve component in a hood-like manner and in a sealing manner in at least one sealing region. A flow chamber is formed between the valve body and an end face of the valve component.
