A cylinder head, for an applied-ignition reciprocating-piston internal combustion engine, includes a prechamber ignition system. The prechamber ignition system has a cavity in which an ignition device is arrangeable. The cavity is covered with respect to a combustion space of the reciprocating-piston internal combustion engine with a cover. The cover has at least two apertures which connect the cavity and the combustion space to one another in a gas-conducting fashion. The cavity is divided into a first ignition chamber and a second ignition chamber by a partition, and each ignition chamber is assigned an aperture.

A shut-off member for a turbocharger for an internal combustion engine includes a first channel, a second channel, and a wall that separates the first channel from the second channel. A shut-off member opening is formed in the wall that connects the first channel and the second channel. The shut-off member opening is selectively openable and closable by a shut-off member body. A cooling channel is disposed in the wall and at least partially surrounds the shut-off member opening.

A method and system for controlling temperature in an exhaust gas routing system of an internal combustion engine is provided. The exhaust gas routing system includes an exhaust gas manifold, an exhaust gas turbine which includes an electric machine arranged downstream of the exhaust gas manifold in the exhaust gas stream, an aftertreatment system arranged downstream of the exhaust gas turbine, and a control means configured to control the operation of the electric machine to adapt an operating mode of the exhaust gas turbine between motor operating, regeneration operating and neutral operating modes control means () such that the temperature of the aftertreatment system is controlled based on a target temperature.

Exhaust gas routing system having an actuable exhaust gas turbine

A system including a fuel cell and an internal-combustion engine, particularly for a motor vehicle. Preferably, exhaust gas from the internal-combustion engine flows at least essentially around the fuel cell. Exhaust gas from the internal-combustion engine may also flow around an afterburner for the fuel cell exhaust gas and/or around a reformer for processing fuel. The fuel cell and/or afterburner and/or reformer may be arranged downstream of a purification system for the internal-combustion engine exhaust gases and may be essentially inside a pipe or the like carrying the latter. The fuel cell and the reformer may also be arranged upstream of an exhaust gas purification system. Part of the fuel cell exhaust gas flow may be fed to the internal-combustion engine for combustion, and exhaust gases from the fuel cell and/or the internal-combustion engine may transfer heat with the air for the fuel cell.
