A container () made of thermoplastic material, defining an axis (X) and having a petaloid type bottom (), the bottom () comprising: -a central area (); -a plurality of first convex surfaces () towards the outside of the container, which extend from the central area (); -a plurality of feet (), arranged alternately with the first convex surfaces (), and projecting outwards with respect to the first convex surfaces (); -an annular rib (), which is coaxial to the axis (X); wherein the first convex surfaces () belong to the same spherical surface having the center (C) arranged on the axis (X).

Thermoplastic material container

An apparatus for hot or warm filling comprising a compression machine configured to apply an axial compression force to a collapsible thermoplastic container for liquids. The compression machine includes a lower body having a surface designed to be a resting surface for the base of the container; at least one upper body designed to contact a portion of the container above the peripheral groove, so that the container can be held in an upright position by the at least one lower body and the at least one upper body; actuating means for actuating the at least one lower body and/or the at least one upper body in order to apply said axial compression force, acting along a direction parallel to the longitudinal axis of the container, in order to make the proximal straight side to come into contact with the distal straight side, thus reducing the internal volume of the container.

Apparatus for hot filling containers

The invention relates to a new PET preform design that enables a more precise distribution of material in the bottle bottom and avoids the waste of material around the injection point. The thickness BWTof the wall at the center of the gate or tip () (injection point) is reduced to a minimum in order to avoid the waste of material around the injection point when the preform is blown. This is particular important for carbonated soft drink application since the reduced amount of amorphous material at the center of the gate () helps to reduce the risk of stress cracking on the bottle base. Furthermore a step () having thickness WTin the body wall thickness, in the region of the periphery of the base with WT&#x3e;WT, allows enough material to be available for the proper blowing of the bottle bottom making the bottle more stable.

Preform for plastic container with thin bottom

The part under the neck ring () of a preform for blowing a PET bottle of predetermined capacity not larger than 75 cl and with a max. material weight of 15 g, is inclined by an angle &#x3b1; less accentuated than normal, max. 17&#xb0;, which allows to make a preform with a thickness tof the wall thinner than 1.9 mm and a thinner inner diameter of the preform body in order to allow a lower stretch ratio starting from a larger preform to obtain the final bottle of predetermined capacity.

Preform for container made of plastic material

An innovative neck () configuration is suggested in order to reduce the weight of a large container for beverage dispenser. The neck () comprises a neck finish () which extends in length (Ltot) starting from the wide mouth () of the container to an annular support ring () and a smooth surface cylindrical portion () which joins the annular support ring () to the body () of the container. For functional reasons, the total length (Ltot) of the innovative neck () remains the same as the usual traditional necks for this type of container, but due to the short length (Ltot) of the neck finish () and said cylindrical portion (), the weight is reduced.

Thermoplastic preform for a wide-mouth container

The invention relates to a container () for drinks suitable for hot filling and compressible so as to be able to draw the drink out by means of a pressure exerted on the side walls. The container comprises a central body () with vacuum compensation function which is created following the cooling of the fluid after the hot filling. Said central body comprises four trapezoidal-shaped panels () and is limited on the top and on the bottom by a set of ribs () and rings ().

Compressible container for hot filling

A bottle made of PET which can be filled with a hot, warm or cold liquid has a neck, a body and a closed bottom. The body has a peripheral groove for pressure relief capable of collapsing in a controlled manner under the bias of an externally applied vertical axial load. The structure of the groove is such that after collapsing the bottle will not be able to resume its original shape unless it is subjected to the application of another external force of sufficient strength in reverse direction with respect to the force which was applied to obtain the collapsed shape.

Container with pressure variation compensation

A large container () for a water dispenser having side handles () formed as recesses in the side wall of the container () and bottom handles () formed as recesses in the central portion of the bottom () of the container (). The side handles () and the bottom handles () are provided for facilitating the lifting and the transport.

Plastic container with integral handles

A blow mold for PET bottles has the inner surface which contacts the hot PET during the blowing operation, coated with a layer of ceramic material having a nanometric thickness, of which at least one thickness layer is AIOand/or TiO2 deposited by ALD technique. Due to this technique, the PET preforms are subject to less friction during the contact with the interior of the mold.
