System and method for robust sensorless control of permanent magnet assisted synchronous reluctance (PM-SyR) motor. The system and method includes startup control of a motor with known rotor position/speed, but unknown rotor magnetic polarity of a motor exhibiting rotor magnetic anisotropy or saliency. The system and method includes a rotor characteristic detection method for a PM-SyR motor that detects rotor magnetic polarity based on the variation of the inductance that is caused by the leakage flux paths in the rotor barrier bridges and utilizes the detected rotor magnetic polarity for improved motor startup.

System and method for permanent magnet assisted synchronous reluctance motor control from zero or low speed

An electronic starting switch assembly and control methods for a dryer having a split-phase induction motor. The assembly comprises a microcontroller unit (MCU) configured to execute a control method that dynamically manages the motor's operation by monitoring the forward magnitude current. The MCU determines a stabilized startup forward magnitude current and calculates a crossover condition, allowing for precise control of the motor's transition to single-phase operation by disconnecting the auxiliary winding and connecting the heater element based on real-time forward magnitude current analysis and processing. The system can also monitor for overload conditions indicative of rotor speed drops and can re-engage the auxiliary winding to maintain motor performance. The assembly includes a housing with a heat-sink for efficient thermal management and environmental protection of electronic components. The disclosed method provides a robust solution for efficient dryer operation by ensuring accurate control of motor start-up, running conditions, and overload protection.

System and method for advanced electronic starting switch assembly for split-phase induction motors for domestic dryers

Systems and methods are provided. A physical measurement of the core loss increase associated with a physical deformation of a material of the device is obtained. A data structure describing a model of the device is accessed. A first edge of the model of the device associated with a physical deformation of the device is identified. A finite element mesh is generated to include a single layer mesh comprising a plurality of mesh elements associated with the first edge of the finite element mesh. A core loss value is assigned to each of the plurality of mesh elements. Each of the core loss values representative of the physical measurement of the core loss increase of the material as a result of the physical deformation of the material. An electromagnetic model is generated by performing a finite element analysis based on the finite element mesh and the single layer mesh.

Core loss simulator and simulation methods

Systems and methods are provided for analyzing magnetic hysteresis of anisotropic magnetic materials. Magnetic hysteresis loops associated with a local coordinate of a coordinated system based on a magnetic field successively applied to each principal axis with an isotropic vector play model are determined. A relaxation factor associated with the convergence behaviors of estimated solution points is applied along with a correction, either a magnetic field correction or a flux density correction, to determine target points on magnetic hysteresis loops. An error between magnetic hysteresis loops and the estimated solution points is determined. The iteration process continues up to a preset number of iterations with alternating correction schemes based on the determined error.

Systems and methods are provided for constructing a physical system. Characteristic data associated with a physical system is received. A model of the physical system is built based on the characteristic data. A nonlinear transient simulation of the physical system is performed using the model, where the simulation is performed over a plurality of time intervals. The simulation includes segmenting the plurality of time intervals into groups of time intervals, each group containing multiple time intervals, transmitting data associated with each group of time intervals to a different solving unit, and solving each of the groups of time intervals in parallel using the different solving units. A physical characteristic is determined based on results of the simulation, where the physical system is built or modified based on the simulation-determined physical characteristic.
