A contactor includes a housing defining a cavity. The contactor includes a switch assembly received in the cavity. The switch assembly includes first and second fixed contacts received in the cavity and a movable contact movable within the cavity between a mated position and an unmated position. The movable contact engages the first and second fixed contacts to electrically connect the first and second fixed contacts in the mated position. The switch assembly includes a coil assembly in the cavity operated to move the movable contact between the unmated position and the mating position. The contactor includes a heat transfer device coupled to the housing. The heat transfer device is thermally coupled to the first fixed contact and the second fixed contact to dissipate heat from the first fixed contact and the second fixed contact.

A power distribution unit includes a housing, a main contactor in a main cavity of the housing, and a pre-charge assembly in a secondary cavity of the housing. The main contactor includes first and second fixed contacts and a movable contact configured to electrically connect the first and second fixed contacts in a mated position. The main contactor includes a coil assembly energized to move the movable contact. The pre-charge assembly includes a pre-charge resistor and a pre-charge switch coupled to the pre-charge resistor. The power distribution unit includes a controller received in the housing. The controller includes a main contactor driver for powering the main contactor and a pre-charge driver for powering the pre-charge switch.

Power distribution unit having contactor with integrated pre-charge circuit

A power distribution unit includes a housing having walls defining a main cavity provided at a first side and a secondary cavity provided at a second side. The power distribution unit includes a main contactor received in the main cavity having first and second fixed contacts and a movable contact movable between a mated position and an unmated position to electrically connect the first and second fixed contacts. The main contactor includes a coil assembly energized to move the movable contact. The power distribution unit includes a pre-charge assembly received in the secondary cavity having a control circuit board, a pre-charge resistor coupled to the control circuit board, and a pre-charge switch coupled to the control circuit board. The power distribution unit includes a cover coupled to the housing to enclose the pre-charge assembly in the secondary cavity.

A high voltage diagnostic connector includes a housing holding a positive terminal, a negative terminal and a ground terminal with a cover removably coupled to the housing. An HVIL assembly is in the housing having a HVIL contacts and an HVIL shunt. An HVIL switch is held by the housing including a shunt actuator operably coupled to the HVIL shunt to position the HVIL shunt in an un-shunted position to open an HVIL circuit when in the primary position and in a shunted position to close the HVIL circuit when in the secondary position. The shunt actuator is movable between the primary position and the secondary position when testing the positive terminal, the negative terminal and the ground terminal with the testing device during diagnostic testing of the high voltage diagnostic connector.

A receptacle terminal includes a box having a front, a rear, first and second sides and first and second ends defining a cavity. A front blade slot is open at the front configured to receive a first blade terminal. A rear blade slot is open at the rear configured to receive a second blade terminal. A spring contact is in the cavity between the front blade slot and the rear blade slot and includes a first mating interface configured to engage the first blade terminal when received in the front blade slot and a second mating interface configured to engage the second blade terminal when received in the rear blade slot. The first end is split including a first flap and a second flap facing each other at a seam. The first flap and the second flap are independently movable relative to each other.

A receptacle terminal includes a main box and a transverse box. The main box has a front, a rear, sides and ends extending between the front and the rear. The main box has a main blade slot open at the rear configured to receive a first blade terminal along a main plane. The main box has a deflectable spring contact configured to engage the first blade terminal when received in the main blade slot. The transverse box has a front, a rear, sides and ends extending between the front and the rear. The transverse box has a transverse blade slot open at the front configured to receive a second blade terminal along a transverse plane. The transverse box is oriented relative to the main box such that the transverse plane is perpendicular to the main plane.
