Embodiments provide a method and a system for conducting merchant-industry mapping based on ambient noise. The method includes receiving a payment transaction request and an audio signal comprising ambient noise in surrounding of a merchant terminal of a merchant. The ambient noise is recorded by the merchant terminal and includes a plurality of sounds. The method includes determining whether the merchant is an aggregated merchant or a non-aggregated merchant. The method includes processing the ambient noise to determine a type of the merchant upon determining that the merchant is the non-aggregated merchant. The method includes mapping the merchant to an industry from a plurality of industries available in the server system based on the type of the merchant. The method further includes storing the mapping of the industry and the merchant in a database associated with the server system.

Methods and systems for merchant-industry mapping based on ambient noise

A method for authorization of multiple transactions using a single authentication process is described. The method includes determining that a user is an authorized user based on user credentials associated with the user; authorizing a transaction device identified by the authorized user for future electronic transactions with one or more restrictions; and providing previously stored payment card information associated with a user account of the authorized user for electronic transactions initiated at the authorized transaction device in accordance with the one or more restrictions.

Method and system for authorization of multiple transactions using a single authentication process

Embodiments of the present invention can simplify the use of payment cards by capturing or generating an electronic image of a customer's payment card at the time of requesting a payment card transaction, and processing the electronic image to automatically determine required payment card information, including the payment card number, account name, and expiry date printed or otherwise represented on the payment card.

Payment card transaction authorization system and process

A system and a method for transmitting payment card information are provided. The system includes at least one memory including computer program code configured to, with at least one processor, cause the system at least to (i) receive, from a capacitive touch sensor, input signals generated in response to conductive elements of a payment card that is placed on the capacitive touch sensor, the conductive elements disposed on the payment card information present on the payment card, (ii) determine, using th e input signals, an orientation of the payment card that is placed on the capacitive touch sensor, (iii) compare the determined orientation with a reference orientation associated with the payment card, (iv) generate computer-readable payment card information based on the input signals on a condition that the determined orientation corresponds to the reference orientation, and (v) transmit the computer-readable payment card information to a payment processor module.
