A system includes an exhaust diffuser system for a heat recovery steam generator (HRSG). The system includes an inlet portion, a diffuser portion axially extending from the inlet portion, and an outlet portion fluidly coupled to an axial distal end of the diffuser portion, wherein an outlet extent of the outlet portion is greater than an inlet extent of the inlet portion. The diffuser portion includes a plurality of wall portions, and the plurality of wall portions is incrementally angled relative to an axial extent extending from the inlet portion to the outlet portion. The system may further include a gas turbine engine coupled to the inlet portion and the HRSG.

Inlet duct system for a heat recovery steam generator

The present application provides a steam discharge pipe blowback protection system for use with a steam discharge pipe and a flow of steam therethrough. The steam discharge pipe blowback protection system may include a vent stack pipe and a drip pan with an exit end of the steam discharge pipe extending through the drip pan and into the vent stack pipe. The drip pan includes a slide plate positioned around the steam discharge pipe such that a blowback in the flow of steam causes the slide plate to seal the drip pan.

Steam discharge pipe blowback protection system

A system includes a retention system configured to support a heat exchanger along a flow path within a duct. The retention system includes a first sleeve configured to extend between opposite first and second walls of the duct, a first cable extending through the first sleeve, and a first bumper coupled to the first sleeve. The first bumper is configured to contact the heat exchanger. The retention system includes a first tensioner coupled to the first cable, wherein the first tensioner is configured to provide a first tension in the first cable. The first tension is adjustable to detune the natural frequency of the heat exchanger away from any excitation load frequencies caused by an exhaust gas flow through the duct.

System and method for restraining heat exchanger with cable in tension

A mixing system for a power generation system. The power generation system includes a rotary machine, an exhaust processing system, and a duct system. The rotary machine is configured to produce an exhaust stream. The exhaust processing system is positioned to receive and process the exhaust stream. The duct system is oriented to channel an air stream to the exhaust processing system and to channel the exhaust stream from the rotary machine to the exhaust processing system. The mixing system is within the duct system. The mixing system includes a plurality of supports, a plurality of links extending between at least two of the supports, and at least one wrap circumscribing at least two of the links. The at least one wrap is oriented to change an effective direction of momentum of the exhaust stream and the air stream.

High temperature gradient gas mixer

Heat recovery steam generators (HRSGs) including bypass conduits for reducing fatigue and/or stress experienced by components within the HRSGs are disclosed. The HRSG may include a steam generator module generating steam, and a first superheater module positioned downstream of the steam generator module. The first superheater module may receive the steam generated by the steam generator module. The HRSG may also include a second superheater module positioned downstream from the first superheater module, and a bypass conduit for receiving a portion of the steam generated by the steam generator module. The bypass conduit may include an inlet positioned downstream of the steam generator module, and an outlet positioned downstream of the first superheater module. Additionally, the HRSG may include a valve in fluid communication with the bypass conduit to provide steam to the outlet of the bypass conduit.
