The invention relates to a method for charging a vehicle battery by induction from a charging device including a charge transmitter including a primary coil Land an inverter capable of supplying the primary coil Lwith an AC supply voltage E. Said device also includes a charge receiver including a secondary coil Larranged in a vehicle. Said method consists of adjusting a frequency f of the power supply voltage (E) to the resonance frequency fo, when a motor vehicle is located in a parking space. Said method comprises the following steps: setting a first power-transmission parameter (E, f); starting an iterative test which consists of: setting a value of a second power-transmission parameter (E, f); varying the second power-transmission parameter (E, f) in a second authorized adjustment range; measuring the power (Pbat) transmitted between the charge transmitter and the charge receiver; determining if the power (Pbat) is no lower than a predetermined operating threshold (PObj); determining if the power (Pbat) increases; ending the iterative test if the transmitted power (Pbat) is higher than the predetermined operating threshold (PObj); setting the power supply voltage (E) in order to reach the measured transmitted power (Pbat), said first and second transmission parameters being set to the previously established value thereof.

Method for charging a vehicle battery by induction

The energy conversion system comprises a primary and a secondary modules. The primary module includes input terminals, a primary winding, and a primary capacitor connected to the primary winding and the input terminals. The secondary module includes output terminals, a secondary winding and a secondary capacitor connected to the secondary winding and the output terminals. A current is induced in the secondary winding when the primary and secondary windings are magnetically coupled, the current received between the input terminals flowing through the primary winding. The secondary module comprises a secondary switch electrically connected to the secondary capacitor and the secondary winding, and means for controlling the secondary switch, between a first configuration wherein the current induced in the secondary winding flows up to the output terminals, and a second configuration wherein said induced current flows in a closed loop through the secondary winding and the secondary capacitor.

Energy conversion system, recharging assembly by induction and methods for transmitting and receiving associated data

This electrical energy conversion system, for powering a load using a voltage source, comprises a first capacitor, a second capacitor, two load connection terminals and an electrical transformer comprising a primary winding and a secondary winding. The first capacitor is electrically connected to the primary winding, and the connection terminals are electrically connected to the secondary winding. This system comprises a third capacitor and switching means suitable for switching, reversibly, between a first configuration, wherein the second capacitor is connected in series between the secondary winding and one of the two connection terminals, and a second configuration wherein the third capacitor is connected in parallel with the secondary winding and between the connection terminals of the load. Only the second capacitor is suitable for receiving the flow of an electric current in the first configuration, whereas only the third capacitor is suitable for receiving the flow of the electric current in the second configuration. The conversion system further comprises means for controlling the switching means according to a control algorithm.
