A writing instrument may include a barrel having a longitudinal axis, a cartridge, a writing tip, a self-retracting system for sliding the cartridge inside the barrel between a first position wherein the writing tip extends outside the barrel and a second position wherein the writing tip is retracted, the system comprising a button configured to move the cartridge between the first and the second position, and a sealing member configured to be actuated between a closed position closing a writing passage of the writing instrument, wherein the self-retracting system further comprises a linkage that connects the button and the cartridge, the linkage being configured to convert an actuation of the button into a linear motion of the cartridge along the longitudinal axis.

The stop impedes pivoting of the first coupling element when the second coupling element is in the first position and the stop no longer impedes movement of the first coupling element when the second coupling element is in the second position.

Coupling mechanism

An adaptor is provided for a shaving cartridge. The adaptor includes a frame extending along a longitudinal axis and a shaving aid coupled with the frame. The adaptor is configured to be reversibly mountable on a shaving cartridge perpendicular to the longitudinal axis.

A blade assembly including at least one blade support and at least one blade element having a cutting edge portion. The blade support includes a base portion and a flat portion. The flat portion extends at an angle with respect to the base. The at least one blade is attached to the flat portion of the blade support. The blade assembly further includes a lubricating element. The lubricating element is attached to the flat portion and the at least one blade element.

A handle for a shaver includes a handle body extending along a longitudinal axis of the handle; a connector for attaching a cartridge to the handle rotatable with respect to the handle body around a rotational axis perpendicular to the longitudinal axis; and an elastic tongue extending parallel with the longitudinal axis of the handle, when in a neutral position. The connector includes a cartridge end and a tongue end opposite to the cartridge end, the cartridge end of the connector being adapted to engage with the cartridge. The elastic tongue includes a first end and a second end. The first end of the elastic tongue is fixedly attached to or integral with the handle body. As the connector rotates the second end flexes towards a first extreme flexed position or a second extreme flexed position, the flexed elastic tongue biases the connector towards the rest position.

Handle for a shaver enabling rotational movement of a cartridge

A shaving cartridge including a housing, a guard bar, a cap and cutting elements. The housing including an inner receiving portion and an inner attaching portion. The cutting elements further including a connecting structure at each end for connection of the cutting elements either on the housing or between adjacent cutting elements to thereby form a chain-like effect.

Razor cartridges

A cutting member for a shaving cartridge is provided that includes a flat cutting portion, a bent portion, and a base portion. The flat cutting portion has a front cutting-edge portion. The bent portion is intermediate to the base portion and the flat cutting portion. The bent portion and the base portion are made out of one single piece of material. The bent portion is arranged such that it is adjacent to the front cutting portion. The proposed shape of the cutting member resembles a reverse L.

Razor system

A connector for attaching a cartridge to a handle. The connector is adapted to rotate around a rocking axis with respect to the handle. The connector includes a pair of arms adapted to attach the connector to the cartridge, a holder adapted to attach the connector to the handle, and at least a pair of resilient lateral tongues protruding from the connector and positioned symmetrically with regard to a connector axis. One of the lateral tongues is adapted to flex when the connector is rotated in a first direction around the rocking axis, and the other lateral tongue is adapted to flex when the connector is rotated in a second direction around the rocking axis.

Shaving cartridges pivotable about two axes

A shaving cartridge () with connectors () on each side portion of the plurality of side portions (C) of the housing (D) and a plurality of cutting members (). Each of the connectors is operable to permit the side portions to pivot relative to each other. Thus, the housing will assume different configurations and is operable to adapt to and follow a contour defined by a shaving surface.

A handle for a shaving razor adapted to releasably support a razor cartridge is provided. The handle includes a handle body and an actuation button. The handle body includes an arm assembly having a pair of arms extending in a plane and being adapted to engage the razor cartridge. The actuation button is configured to move substantially perpendicular to the plane of the pair of arms. The actuation button cooperates with the pair of arms to engage and disengage the razor cartridge.

A masking foil, for a shaving cartridge, and a shaving cartridge comprising a housing having a top surface, a bottom surface, a front edge, a rear edge, and a pair of side edges extending between the front edge and the rear edge. The housing includes a main blade disposed between the front edge and the rear edge. The main blade includes a main cutting edge extending toward the top surface and is movable in the housing. The shaving cartridge further comprises a masking foil. The masking foil includes a front portion located forward of the main cutting edge, a back portion located rearward the main cutting edge, and at least one ribbon which extends between the front portion and the back portion and which partially covers the main cutting edge.

An adaptor for a shaving cartridge is provided. The adaptor is provided with a frame, a first shaving aid, and a second shaving aid. The frame includes a first wall and an opposite second wall. The first wall and the second wall extend along and define a longitudinal axis. The side walls extend from the first wall to the second wall, where the first wall has a first opening. The first and second shaving aids are releasably connected, respectively, to the first and second side walls of the frame. The first and second shaving aids are mounted on the shaving cartridge in a first position by being moved in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal axis. Cutting edges of shaving blades disposed in the shaving cartridge are uncovered and accessible through the first opening formed in the first wall when the adaptor is mounted on the shaving cartridge.

A cutting member () for a shaving cartridge includes a front side, a back side opposing the front side, and a flat cutting portion () with a cutting edge portion (). Further the cutting member includes a first bent portion (), an intermediate portion (), a second bent portion () and a base portion () that are made out of one single piece of material. The first bent portion is integral with the flat cutting portion. The first bent portion is convex on the back side of the cutting member, and the second bent portion is concave on the back side of the cutting member. The proposed shape of the cutting member resembles an 'S' shape or a question mark shape.

A shaving handle system for holding a cartridge including a handle extending longitudinally along a longitudinal handle direction (L) between a distal end and a proximal end, and a connector adapted to rotate around a rocking axis (Z) with respect to the handle. The connector includes two lateral tongues extending forwardly from the proximal end of the handle, and the handle includes a deflecting means for flexing either one of the lateral tongues. The lateral tongues abut the deflecting means, such that when the connector is rotated in a first direction around the rocking axis (Z) with respect to the handle, one of the two lateral tongues is flexed by the deflecting means, and such that when the connector is rotated in a second direction around the rocking axis (Z) with respect to the handle, the other of the two lateral tongues is flexed by the deflecting means.
