A front spoiler assembly for a motor vehicle. The front spoiler assembly includes a spoiler lip which is arranged to extend at least partially in a transverse direction of the motor vehicle in a front area of the motor vehicle. The spoiler lip includes a front side, a spoiler lip outer edge which faces away from a front part of the motor vehicle, and at least two spoiler areas. At least one actuator device moves the at least two spoiler areas either separately or together from a retracted rest position to an extended spoiler position. The at least two spoiler areas are separated from each other at the front side of the spoiler lip by at least one depression form which extends into the spoiler lip outer edge.

An air-guiding arrangement for a motor vehicle has: a carrier, which is arranged on a body of the motor vehicle, and on which an air guide is provided such that it is driveable by a pneumatic drive with at least one air chamber for actuation, the at least one air chamber being arranged on the carrier such that the air guide is transferrable from a retracted basic position into a deployed maximum position, and at least one pneumatic supply line which, via at least one connector member, pneumatically connects the at least one air chamber to a pneumatics module of the pneumatic drive. A front spoiler of a motor vehicle is held on the front end part of the vehicle by fastening elements. To reinforce the front spoiler in the central region, reinforcing ribs are provided, which extend into inward and outward formations on the front end part. The reinforcing ribs are preferably vertically aligned plate-shaped structures that extend in the longitudinal direction. To ensure a necessary dimensional stability of the front spoiler during driving, the reinforcing ribs can be supported on the front end part, and the front spoiler itself can be supported on the reinforcing ribs.

A forward structure of a motor vehicle, particularly of a passenger car, includes a bumper cross member and an energy absorption element, particularly a foam-type impact absorbing element, disposed in front of the bumper cross member in the driving direction. A plurality of recesses are shaped into the forward-side outer contour of the energy absorption element. To ensure optimal energy reduction while the mounting space is reduced, and thereby a best-possible protective function with respect to a leg impact, at least several of the recesses completely penetrate the energy absorption element along its entire depth, whereby a plurality of breakthroughs are arranged in the energy absorption element.

Forward structure of a motor vehicle

A vehicle body includes a first structural component and a second structural component that form the outer shell of the body. The structural components are joined in the area of equidirectional flanges, are locally detachably connected to each other, and delimit a joint in a common connecting area towards the vehicle exterior. A positioning device, which fixes two adjoining structural parts that form the outer shell of the body in the X and Y directions with respect to each other, is provided between the two adjoining structural components in order to ensure that a flush transition on the outer shell and an even course of the joint between the two structural components is provided in inaccessible areas between two adjoining structural components.

Vehicle body

A separable connection is provided between two adjoining components, particularly skin parts of a vehicle body. A separable connection ensuring a precise positioning of the two parts as well as a fast and rapid mounting without additional tools is created in that the separable connection is formed by a clamping connection bracing the two flanges with respect to one another, which clamping connection comprises at least one plate-shaped fastening element and a slide-type elastic clamp.

Separable connection between two adjoining vehicle body skin parts and method of making same

A fastening device is provided for a component which is installed in a depression in an automotive body part, insertable into the depression from the outside via an inclined assembly position, and lockable in an operating position in the depression by a pivoting movement. In the operating position, a mounting part integrally molded on a first edge area of the component is in operative connection with a first side wall section of the depression, and, on an opposite second edge area of the component, an elastic catch part is provided, cooperating with a second side wall section of the depression. The depression also has two wall sections arranged with distance between them. To create the fastening device, with which the design is simplified and which also ensures rapid and simple installation and removal, a device is inserted between the depression and the adjacent component in the area of the two wall sections. The device ensures correctly positioned insertion of the component that is to be installed in the depression, and ensures a defined pivoting of the component about a pivot axis running approximately at a right angle to the wall sections, pivoting it into the operating position. The integrally molded mounting part engages behind a free edge area of the first side wall section when the component is pivoted, whereas the elastic catch part cooperates with a free edge area of the second wall section to form an engaged connection.

Fastening device for a component installed in a depression in an automotive body part

A releasable connection is provided between two adjoining components, particularly body shell parts of a vehicle body. A releasable connection ensuring an exact positioning of the two parts as well as a fast and simple mounting is provided. The releasable connection includes at least one base plate which is held in position on a first body shell component and has at least one projecting pin. A receiving device is fastened to an opposite second body shell component and has a rotatable slotted sleeve part. An end-side profiled head section of the at least one pin is guidable through openings of the second component, of the receiving device and of the sleeve part. As a result of radial rotation of the sleeve part about an angle &#x3b1;, a fastening of the first and second body shell components with respect to one another takes place.
