Systems and methods relate generally to integration of a printing device to a smart space meeting room ('meeting room'). In an example, a virtual assistant: receives a request to schedule a meeting; obtains a list of attendees; determines availability of attendees and the meeting room; confirms the availability of the attendees; reserves the meeting room; sends invitations to each of the attendees; generates a query for searching a content management system on a server; and locates materials on the content management system for the meeting. The server loads the materials for the meeting from the content management system and sends the materials to the printing device. A bot of the printing device checks status of the printing device. The printing device prints the materials personalized to each of the attendees. The virtual assistant requests the printed materials to be picked up by a robot for delivery to the meeting room.

Integration of printing device to a smart space

A method for color calibration of a print device is provided. The method includes receiving, at the print device, a print job request that includes a color print job, determining, at the print device, print job data including data associated with the color print job and the print device, wherein the data associated with the print device includes an ambient temperature sensed by an embedded temperature sensor in the print device, and transmitting, by the print device, the print job data to a cloud server to request a stored matching color profile having associated data that matches, within a defined threshold, the print job data. Using techniques disclosed herein, printer calibration is automated using big data analytics (i.e., continuous learning, analyzing, and optimizing). A spectrophotometer and temperature sensor are embedded into the print device and a printer bot, as a helper printer-resident application, builds a data module and automates the calibration process; a calibration profile is generated for each print job based on the current printer, paper, ink, and the room temperature. A non-transitory computer-readable medium and print device are also provided.

System and method for improved color calibration

Systems and methods relate generally to app assisted voting. In an example method thereof, a voting app is installed in a mobile device. The mobile device has a memory configured to store program code for the voting app. The mobile device has a processor coupled to the memory. The processor, in response to executing the program code, is configured to initiate operations for implementing the voting app. The operations of the voting app include: taking in by the voting app personal information and a pre-assigned code; validating the personal information for the pre-assigned code by the voting app; registering a user associated with the personal information and the pre-assigned code by the voting app with a cloud-based voting authority server; authenticating the user by the voting authority server; and authorizing, by the voting authority server, the user to use the voting app during voting.

A method for troubleshooting and maintaining printing devices is provided. The method includes identifying, by a service bot in a print device, a maintenance condition to be resolved, wherein the service bot comprises a processor executing instructions stored on a computer-readable medium in the print device; notifying, by the service bot, a client terminal of the maintenance condition and a resolution attempt; analyzing, by the service bot, the maintenance condition using an anomaly detection technique; referencing, by the service bot, a knowledge database to identify a resolution for the analyzed maintenance condition; implementing, by the service bot, the identified resolution at the print device; notifying the client terminal of the identified resolution; and updating the knowledge database with the analyzed maintenance condition and the identified resolution. A non-transitory computer-readable medium and print device are also provided.

System and method for printing device troubleshooting and maintenance

Systems and methods relate generally to attendee authentication. In a method, a robot gatekeeper has a multi-function printer with program code configured for character recognition and handwriting analysis. The program code is executed by a processor coupled to the memory to initiate operations including: instructing for placement of a hand for a palm vein scanner and a badge for a badge reader; reading a badge to obtain first identification information; reading a palm to obtain first biometric data; accessing a database to obtain second identification information responsive to the first identification information; comparing the first biometric data and second biometric data obtained from the second identification information; printing an anti-tampering feature on a card; scanning a hand written sample on the card; and analyzing the hand written sample scanned with respect to at least one handwriting exemplar in or associated with the second identification information.

Robot gatekeeper for authentication prior to meeting attendance

A method is provided that includes receiving, at a cloud server from a client device, a variable print document and customer information associated with a plurality of customers for which the variable print document is to be personalized for each of the plurality of customers. A layout, a business rule, and a style rule are defined for the received variable print document, and a variable print document job file corresponding to the received variable print document and the defined layout is generated. The cloud server extracts, from social media data associated with each of the plurality of customers, a candidate content type and identifies variable content corresponding to the candidate content type, which is used to personalize the variable print document.

Systems and methods relate generally to responding to a system error of a printing device. In an example method thereof, an error code is generated by the printing device in response to the system error and reported to a backend application in a Cloud-based system. The backend application includes an artificial intelligence engine for performing operations. The artificial intelligence engine analyzes the error code and obtains source code for the printing device. The artificial intelligence engine upgrades the source code for a solution to the error code and generates binary code from the upgraded source code. The artificial intelligence engine loads a virtual machine with the binary code. The artificial intelligence engine simulates operation using the virtual machine with the binary code. The artificial intelligence engine evaluates operation of the virtual machine with the binary code. The virtual machine simulates operation of an internal engine of the printing device.

Using artificial intelligence to respond to printer error

Embodiments identify documents with invisible or hidden information such as tracking codes and extract the tracking codes, which may be leveraged for different applications. Aspects may protect an individual's right to privacy by extracting 'invisible' codes from a document. Other aspects preserve the authenticity of documents by converting the information of an extracted tracking code into other metadata which may accompany the document and copies of the document. In an embodiment, a blockchain ledger may be used to verify the authenticity of a document using information from the original tracking code.

Systems, processes, and computer program products for authentication of documents based on invisible information in documents

Embodiments provide automatic printing and delivery of a printed document from a virtual reality (VR) environment. The printed document may be delivered to the user while preserving the user's immersion within a virtual reality session. A printed-out copy of the document may be physically delivered to the user by a robot. In some embodiments, a virtual reality server may coordinate requests for printed documents, provide print and delivery status updates within the VR space, and control the robot's path to the delivery site.

The printer is waked from a sleep mode for operation by the user responsive to a determination the user is likely to use the printer responsive to the policy.

A printing device receives a document to print directly from a computing device. The document is converted into a portable document format (PDF) file. The PDF converter separates the document into different groups that are processed separate to generate multiple PDF files for the document. The PDF files include a first page file and subsequent files for groups of pages separated according to criteria, such as page number or size. The separate PDF file is sent to the PDF interpreter to be printed without waiting for the subsequent data within the document.
