A process for propylene preliminary polymerization in liquid phase that occurs in a continuous preliminary polymerization reactor may include feeding a propylene monomer and a Ziegler-Natta catalyst system having (a) a pro-catalyst having an internal electron donor comprising a substituted phenylene aromatic diester, (b) a catalyst activator and optionally (c) an external donor, into the continuous preliminary polymerization reactor, wherein the feeding is carried out without pre-contact of the pro-catalyst with the catalyst activator, and also without pre-contact of the catalyst activator with the propylene monomer before entering the continuous preliminary polymerization reactor.

Propylene preliminary polymerization

Methods may include reacting an antistatic agent with at least one alkylaluminum to form an antistatic complex and may further include feeding the antistatic complex into a polymerization process wherein the antistatic agent is an ester of a fatty acid. Methods of using an antistatic agent in a polymerization process may include feeding the antistatic agent into the polymerization process and, subsequently, reacting the antistatic agent with at least one alkylaluminum, wherein the antistatic agent with the at least one alkylaluminum gives an antistatic complex that comprises one or more reaction products between the ester of the fatty acid and the at least one alkylaluminum, wherein the one or more reaction products comprise aluminum soaps.

Continuous feed of antistatic agent for gas phase polymerization process

Methods of adding a catalyst to a bulk polymerization process may include mixing the catalyst with propylene to form a catalyst mixture that is substantially free of any C20 or greater hydrocarbons, feeding the catalyst mixture into a polymerization reactor, activating the catalyst mixture; and performing a polymerization on the catalyst mixture in the polymerization reactor. Polymers may be formed by polymerization processes that are substantially free of any C20 or greater hydrocarbons.

A method of forming polymerization auxiliaries for a polymerization process may include combining an antifouling agent with a killer agent to form an auxiliary composition; and contacting the auxiliary composition with an alkylaluminum. An antifouling complex may be produced by combining an antifouling agent with a killer agent to form an auxiliary composition; and contacting the auxiliary composition with an alkylaluminum.

Auxiliaries for olefin polymerization process

A process for treatment of nanoparticles of mineral filler for obtaining processed nanoparticles for use in polymerization in the presence of nanoparticles which includes the steps of (a) drying a mineral filler with an inert gas to remove catalyst poisons; (b) mixing the mineral filler dried obtained in step (a) with a swelling agent in a liquid state or near a critical state or in the supercritical state; (c) subjecting the swelling agent of the mixture obtained in step (b) to an endoenthalpic or isoentalphic phase change by altering the conditions of the temperature and/or pressure; (d) subjecting the nanoparticles of the mixture obtained in step (c) to contact of scavenging agent to react with catalyst poisons; then the mixture obtained in step (d) can be dried in a step (e) with an inert gas to remove sub-products from scavenging agent and catalyst poisons to obtain the treated nanoparticles.

Process for purification of unreacted vinyl acetate monomers comprising the steps of preliminarily loading an adsorbent agent bed with a mixture comprising an inert gas and fresh vinyl acetate; and feeding said adsorbent agent bed with unreacted vinyl acetate monomers to remove acetic acid.

Process for purification of vinyl acetate for use in polymerization in the presence of ethylene

A process for polymerization in the presence of nanoparticles of a mineral filler for obtaining polymer nanocomposites which includes the steps of (a) mixing a mineral filler with a swelling agent in a liquid state or near a critical state or supercritical state; (b) subjecting the swelling agent of the mixture obtained in step (a) to an endoenthalpic or isoenthalpic phase change, by altering the conditions of temperature and/or pressure; and (c) polymerizing a monomer, in a continuous or a batch process, in the presence of the mixture of step (b); wherein the swelling agent is a saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon, a polar or vinylic organic compound, the same monomer used in the polymerization reaction or an inert compound present as a component of the reaction medium.
